if you want to find your real library go to finder then go tap alt two times and the library folder will appear then click it if you only tap once wou will not be able to open the library folder have fun hope this post was helpful for u

for people who cant find their library folder- go to finder, click go in the top tool bar thing, hold down option and the library thing should appear

Here is how you do it without command+shift+g (you can not have anything on your desktop to use that command though.) go to finder and click on devices (Mines Macintosh HD) its the top one. Next, click library, Application support, and then minecraft is right there

So don't go cuss this video is just old it used to work for minecraft 1.8 use my advice to make it work. The folder is still in application support. ALso just go to settings in the minecraft menu then click resource packs, open resource pack folder and then you will open the resource pack folder in .minecraft.

if you havn't logged into the game from the last time you updated it or moved certain files it wont show and double check to make sure you are looking in the right place and you entered the text correctly.

go into system prefrences and click security and privacy. under general u should see *allow downloads from* press the anywhere bubble thing lol. if u cant press it click the lock on the lower left part of the window and enter the administrator pw or ur pw and try clicking it again. Hope this helps :D
