With help of 3D Animation Working and Design aspects of a Kaplan turbine is elaborated in this video lecture. Functions of spiral casing, guide vanes, runner ...
+splendit konami choosing the guides guidelines because they are much more rapid in the case of the need to stop promptly the water flow to the turbine and because they are more resistant in case a foreign body is inserted. In more guide lines they can be moved all together simultaneously in axial manner by exploiting a mechanism of connecting rods fixed on a cruise.
Very informative video, thank you. I'd like to know, if you were given a
site that have low head and small flow rate, what type of turbine would you
use? (besides waterwheel)
This video is created by my students. A best video of its own kind. Now who ever want to understand the working of the impulse turbine must go through it.
Slechtihulken, you are forgetting one basic fact that, on one side of the
nozzle the pressure will be very high and on the other side the pressure is
atmospheric. Because of this reason the pressure should drop and kinetic
energy in the form of velocity will increase. More over the divergent
portion which is shown in the nozzle will be very large compared to
convergent portion. The necessity of this is to reduce eddy currents and
some other losses. I think it is clear.
in your animation the shape before the turbine is divergent. The divergent
shaped duct is supposed to slow the air down and increase pressure
according to Bernoulli's principle. but in your animation air increase in
speed. Im not trying to be a smart ass just want to understand :)
i like the animation.... its simple and easy to understand... But I have a
doubt... Could you pls tell me where is impulse turbine used? and what
about reaction turbine?? Where is that used???Keeping getting confused with
these two things..
A very poor demonstration! The turbine did not drive the compressor. The
simplest way to describe a gas turbine is a fan connected to a windmill.
This does not work of course but if heat is introduced between them,
expansion of the air occurs and with a few tweaks the system drives itself
and the process becomes self sustaining providing excess power from the
same shaft or an additional turbine SIMPLE!
Is it OK to take a picture of the animation and use it in my maturita
project? (maturita is something like graduation) I'm not really an expert
on the topic of copyrights.
+Stephanie Stirrup Dear Stephanie, I am sorry that you did not like the voice of David. A voice robot created by Microsoft. Believe me, if you hear mine, you would love David. I am also sorry that you only concentrated on the voice, while you are ignoring the content. In your channel, there are no videos. Please create some videos with your beautiful voice, I presume it is beautiful, so that we can have pleasure of hearing a beautiful voice.
+mekanizmalar I know what you mean, but I have to agree it's much nicer having a real voice. Thanks for the video regardless, lots of help. Very easy to understand and quite informative.
Haha.. yeah sounds harsh, just having a late study here and feeling a bit bitter. You didn't have to upload it, but I appreciate that you did though, it still helps! : )
HI, I am doing work on project for capture of CO2 by Oxy-fuel combustion
process. Might be you have any video about Oxy-fuel Combustion Process.
Thanx
Dear Khuram, Thank you visiting my channel. Unfortunately I do not have any video in the subject you are interested in.

What is your job description/what do you do?
What state are you in?
How much does that position pay (just hit me) starting, and then goes up to
what?
What do I have to do to work on wind turbines? Im a master auto tech now..
looking to switch over
Ive been trying to get a straight answers, but Im having to read too many
fucking blogs, and forums, and still cant get an answer..
Thanks
Seems like you've around dug around, it's not easy finding solid info to say the least. I've seen 16-19/hr for wind techs on Indeed jobs, that was just a minute ago literally. Most of the listings don't specify a pay rate so those could possibly offer better wages, I'd hope so.. A general job search via Indeed had jobs all around, Texas, North Dakota, Iowa, Oklahoma, etc. I have heard, however, that the pay rate between maintenance techs and the folks who do actual repairs is significant, and can reach into 100k/yr mark. I've got 6 years in machining but I'm looking to break away myself maybe into the same thing. I don't know enough yet to jump in, but I'm curious as well.

Wow that's cool. I have a bell helicopter. I have inserted cameras on its
wings and also small airsoft electric machine guns. Btw I realize that if I
shoot too fast midair,my helicopter gets unbalanced. It crashed once.
(Luckily landed on sponge) but did not get damaged tho. Does urs shoot fast
and fly at the same time?
