"Killer Joe" - The Edinburgh Jazz Festival 2007
I was finnaly given the opertunity to play in the Edinburgh Jazz Festival with the Napier University. Here I am on Baritone Sax playing "Killer Joe" by Benny ...
Thanks! We tried very hard on this song. 3 days of solid practicing as most
of them have never played jazz. So I think we did pretty well!. Hope you do
well in the NMU Jazz fest. Good luck.
Thanks! We had a fantastic Bass Guitar player - Kevin Glasgow. So I guess
he kept us right. My Bari Sax solo was slightly iffy, because I was so
freakin' nervous!! Thanks again.
I think your omission of the bass line at the beginning really didn't help:
that's what makes Killer Joe. The solos are really good though! Really
mellow yet inventive...
I played this today at a concert and i play Tenor Sax. My part at the start
goes: B flat then A flat while the Trumpets and Altos carry the melody. FUN
AS!

"Qingdao Tower" is moved between berths in Southampton - 02/04/2013
The container ship "Qingdao Tower" arrived in Southampton in March 2013 and originally docked at Berth 40 next to the 'QEII' Terminal. The ship is currently out ...
Yeah I thought that when she passed. She was an hour late setting off,
having been originally down to be moved at 09:00. And yes there were four
tugs: "Svitzer Bristol" leading, "Svitzer Bentley" on the rear with
"Svitzer Sarah" & "Svitzer Ferriby" round the other side. She wasn't
producing any power of her own as I could see the tips of the prop and it
wasn't turning. Thanks for watching Steve. :)
As she sailed past looks lot longer than when berthed at 40 berth she is
here for quite a while I think, Great video there Dan shame I could not
been there to see her moved but never mind. I noticed 4 tugs moving her too.
Yeah mate, that was me. It was darn cold, which is why I was rugged up like
a snowman. That white scarf was a traditional Tibetan scarf, only presented
to VIP's, so the boy I gave it to had to give it back. I still have it.
