He won't say because it's a very tricky process which requires a good
amount of knowledge of metallurgy and not doing it right can anneal the
head and shorten its usable lifetime. If you really want to know you can
read about it in a few places online.

@rite4lyf my 2.25 petrol series 3 has 253,000miles on original engine and
gear box and is now 36 years old. i don't see what the problem is.

just got through rebuilding a 2000 Disco 2 4.0 liter engine myself. I was
just wondering what temp you heat those heads to in the oven?

ah the good old rover v8`s all aluminum engines first designed by buick in
the early 60s good strong engines

Do you have to get machine the valve train side of the head? To help the
rocker cover gasket to seal? : D
