Everyone has different ways of writing with their fingers or wrist and this doesn't matter how other people writesin calligraphy. People likably likes to go with the flow ofusing their wrists/fingers to write it flawlessly on paper, when you're writing it feels spontaneous to write it on notebooks or on good quality paper. And, what you mention from his video but he's isn't fake. What is thereason to contemplate that he's fake for not using his wristbut fingers? Maybe this was his method or the way howhe writes in calligraphy with italic pens.
Pardon? How he's fake? Why do you think he's using only his fingers but not his wrist? I was really confused what you were questioning about his ability to write incalligraphy.
he has his own channel and he has a video where he did calligraphy on a giant window. His work speaks for itself. How can he be a fake? Is he not really doing this? Is this CGI? I don't think a fake would have their own studio, website, and business.

video pretty much failed at whatever it was trying to accomplish.

my struggle is moving from normal cursive to more calligraphic style, I am
not sure where to lift the pen. In traditional cursive you don't lift the
pen, so I am struggling to determine where I can/should lift the pen
+pamela patterson Hi Pamela! Apologies for this late reply. I will share a more in-depth post on lifting the pen!In the meantime, one tip I can share is that you want to lift the pen after the exit stroke of a letter. Every letter has its own unique exit stroke, but the idea is to finish the letter at either the waistline or halfway through the x-height. In my most recent video on overturns, I briefly explain how I lift the pen when I connect the overturn strokes.Hope this helps in the meantime!
