That's what Elway and his regime did in 2011 draft, selecting Von Miller!
Three years later, they signed...D. Ware!! And this year, led by Wade
Phillips, we have No.1 Defense which won a lot of game!!!
I hate how everyone always says "The best defensive player in the NFL not
named JJ WATT". Von Miller shits on JJ WATT. I'd way rather have him as my
D. End.
+Timmay14a Yeah rugby is definitely the biggest sport here in NZ and i also have played both (#8 in rugby, and DE in American football) and you're spot on with the pacific islanders (samoans, tongans) they love physicality and thrive in hard nose, smash mouth type environments. I love rugby because im a born new zealander but American Footy in my books is a cut above the rest. Just the explosion and work ethic required for the skills position along with co-ordination and footwork is what amazes me. You can teach strength, but you cant teach speed and that is what The nfl holds superior over rugby.
+Big Boi Well im from the US, and i have played both sports myself, and i honestly see the similarities in both sports, and not looking to get in a gay "MY SPORT IS TOUGHER" youtube troll fest, i do believe there are some Australians/Kiwis rugby players that if exposed to Ameican football would be rather good,But for the arguments sake i PRAY they did take some of the players you mentioned who do to my complete lack of knowledge i trust are considered great/dominant on the international/pro stages of Rugby and then see statistically how they match up to NFL players who play the most similar role/position to top rugby player Ex. in the worldOne of the easiest ways i feel to explain it is look at the Somans....in Samoa, Football is god, per-Capita they produce more NFL players then any other population, they are just ethnically big/strong/mean competitive people....and almost to a man, if they can't make the NFL, they jump to Rugby and most have pretty successful careers.....Also i don't understand how American style Football isn't huge in Australia/New Zealand lol, they seem as a population to like non pussified girly sports like soccer, and like the Samoans i feel if they had some kind of national mandate forcing all people to strap on the equipment and play for a year, Your people as a whole would NEVER EVE look back at Rugby lol....I can tell you there is no other rush in sports like getting smashed/smashing people with the gear on, A sport that doesn't foul you for spearing people/leading with your shoulder to tackle with your head down etc etc
+Timmay14a Yeah thats a good reason since americans dont care about any other countries except america.. Im a kiwi myself and i could see maybe julian savea, nehe milner skudder and sbw doing something like this and league players like martin taupau, shaun johnson, tuivasa sheck and greg inglis, even hayne? if hasnt already done this. It would be hard to convince the sports scientists since they have seen arguably the best athletes on earth already.
+Big Boi Could be, but I wish they still did, just for the fact i could copy and paste it to every single person outside of the US that doesn't realize the caliber of the Atheltic talent on display in the NFL....and a Sports Science with the Top Rugby players on Earth/New Zeeland would just be a great factual copy and paste to destroy their arguments
+Jacob Morgenstern Reason Panthers lost had less to do with Cam and more with overall coaching. Too many long plays and improper setup was called. Shorter plays, short passes to get rid of the ball quickly, make a few yards and get a 1st down or at least not lose yards and keep the ball in motion without turn overs. That would have changed the game.
Haaa from beating Denver when they had no Von Miller and other injured
players congrats y'all went 9 and 7 so y'all can't talk should not have
beat the vinkings but it did not matter we blowed y'all out with kelvin
benjiman best y'all twice
I remember when cam chancellor had that pick six on cam newton he went on a
interview talking a lot of shit the next season cam beat them Seahawks
twice
+Ajay Ghale Really? I don't know of any "game manager's" who throws for 3k plus yards every year, had thrown more touchdowns in his first 3 years than any other qb besides P. Manning but doing it with far fewer picks thrown than Manning along with the best winning percentage for a qb in that same amount in the history of the league. "Game manager's" would never be mentioned in the same sentence as the P. Mannings and T. Brady's of the league like R. Wilson is. Game managers don't throw for over 4k yards with 34 tds to only 8 picks. Oh and btw, he just finished his 4th season in the league. 4 seasons and has been in the playoffs every year with 2 super bowl appearances while winning 1. Those are numbers a 15 year veteran would kill for. Whats funnny is we had pretty much the exact same defense the year before Wilson got here and went 7-9. Yeah we have a historically great defense but without Wilson we dont even win 8 game's. So stop hating and enjoy the history Wilson is and will be making.12's Up!!!
Von Miller is a beast and that was a funny skit. But those who are bashing
Cam will end up eating their words later. Cam is still a good QB and the
loss wasn't all his fault. Mark my words...Cam will be back and brutalizing
defenses.
I don't think people are saying cam is a bad player, just a poor sport. "No....no....nope....no.... (walks away during conference)" and he literally threw himself on the floor crying during the game! If roles were reversed who knows how Peyton would've acted but Cam reps the panthers, the NFL and himself...
Let's face it, the Broncos only won because the NFL is a fascist league
that picks whom wins each year. Stop being morons.. NFL is rigged, has been
for decades. It's as fake as wrestling. But as long as people hit each
other on the field, you don't care... lol. Players are just as stupid as
the fans.
+Dan Stevens Oh so that's why they make kids have good grades to stay in sports. For some weird reason sports have helped kids build up self confidence and out of trouble.
Von took lots of heat for what he did...he'll embrace that hate and turn it into motivation. Let's Eat Greedy!!! PS: This is not my video, I just like the song to go with ...
+Brian Maas Von Miller the best defensive player in the league! This guy never takes a play off unlike the (little) overrated JJ Watt. And he can play coverage. Not just a pass rusher! Future HOF
2011 AP Defensive Rookies of the Year! Already considered the best 4-3 linebacker...Scary thing, he'll only going to get better!!! Sourced used; [95%] ...
he bulked up a great amount from his senior year at A&M to his rookie
year.. nobody thought he could keep his speed but he did. I dont think he
should bulk up too much more any time soon. He has enough power that should
be respected. Since you're always worried about him running around you.
The NFL is threatening to remove my videos, find my new videos at: //vimeo.com/user11428427 Broncos rookie outside linebacker Von Miller finished his ...
Aldon deserved pro bowl honors but Miller deserved DROY. More rounded
player. Every down player and on a less talented D. More than just speed
but power. Olinemen remembered him. His bull rush on the Jets Tackle just
showed his power. Whether through u or around you, he will get to the QB.
If it wasn't for the Injury he woulda had way more sacks. Both gonna be
beasts for yrs to come. Playing every down in Denver Altitude with all the
3 and outs as a rookie in a 17 week season is no small feat.
I don't like that people say this person is the next great player Von
Miller will be great in his own way he's not the next Derrick Thomas or LT.
He's Von Miller a beast in his own way. And I respect the Bronco's living
in Colorado now I'm half a Bronco fan and a Chief fan. But I see Von Miller
in the same category as Justin Houston at the moment both rookies if Hali
wasn't getting 66 tackles Houston would of had about the same as Miller
which was 64. Miller is good but so is Houston.
@knicksown427 "Bottom line: you have to be pretty damn one-dimensional if
you only see the field on third down. " Exactly. How great can you really
be if you have the best defensive linemen in the league next to you (Justin
Smith is a monster) who commands double teams and only play on 3rd down???
Aldon Smith a great pass-rusher. Von is great football player. He tackles,
pressures and covers unlike any rookie in the last 15 years.
@RayWilliamJohansen Miller had more tackles for loss and was an every down
player. He was a key part of Denver's defense as an every-down linebacker
that could rush the passer, help against the run and even drop back in pass
coverage. Aldon is a great player but he was just a rotational pass rusher.
The 49ers defense could have got along without Smith, the Broncos defense
would have been terrible without Miller.
love von! guys a killer, not so great in coverage, but im ok with that, he
will grow, i guessed he would be Rookie of the year, .... who knew he'd
actually be Defensive ROY? he said "ill play for free this year if we sign
mario williams and peyton manning" and he was serious, how can you NOT love
this guy? unless your name is rivers, palmer, or cassel ....
Pro Football Focus (PFF) rated Von Miller as the best linebacker in all of
football. His 50.3 overall rating nearly doubled the next best 4-3 OLB
(Daryl Smith, 27.6) and easily beat the second best overall linebacker
(Cameron Wake, 43.4). PFF also credited Miller with 12 sacks, 19 QB hits,
29 pressures, and 41 stops to go with zero missed tackles.
Willis and Bowman stop people from running against SF. More pass plays =
more potential sacks. Justin Smith rushes the same side as Aldon and eats
up his blocks. Unlike Miller, Aldon rarely deals with double-teams. Doom
draws blockers every once in a while, but more often than not it's Miller
that gets the double-team, freeing up Doom.
@jonmark93 yes but that does not mean they are right either way arguing
about this is pointless. Unless you take into account that aldon helped the
49ers get to the qb something they have struggled him and helped them in
the running game and not allow a running back score a touchdown in 15 weeks
i believe.
Von Miller played with an injury for half the season.... In other words,
Miller with an INJURY was better than his backup. Von Miller with a HAND
injury was one of the best defensive players in the game. Please....
Someone explain how someone can criticize him as a player...
Aldon Smith's only job though is rushing the passer. He's a one dimensional
player who, I might add, rarely gets double teams because he plays next to
the likes of Justin Smith, Patrick Willis, Bowman, etc. Miller is easily
(EASILY) the better overall player.
@RayWilliamJohansen Saying that Aldon Smith is better than Von Miller is
just your personal opinion. If Smith was better than Miller, the majority
of people would agree with you and Miller wouldn't have won the Defensive
Rookie of the Year vote by 39-to-11.
I dont know fellas but I am damn sure excited for this and next season
barring any injuries. Broncos might be stepping up again like the '97&'98
seasons. They have the pieces so if the chemistry is there its gonna be a
HELL of a ride!!!!!
@jonmark93 Pro Football Focus is great. The game is not just about who had
the most sacks. Pressures, hits & hurries all make an impact on the QB. Not
to mention Von Miller's play vs. the run which was spectacular.
@YBRR88 Von Miller had 4.0 sacks against AFC West teams, Aldon Smith had
5.0 against NFC West. This is just my opinion, but I think the Charger' and
Raiders' offensive lines are better than the Rams' and Seahawks'.
The best defensive rookie this year was Von Miller. Aldon Smith and JJ Watt
tied for second. Aldon was outstanding as a pass rusher and JJ Watt created
absolute chaos for opposing offenses at the 3-4 end position.
@knicksown427 like I said aldon smith is better because he had FEWER snaps
and he had more sacks. So you can say he is more effective but hey maybe
next year with a year under his belt he will get even better.
‘Top 100 Players of 2014’: Von Miller
Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller is voted the 76th-best player in the NFL by his peers on "Top 100 Players of 2014."
