I own a 300W mag Varmint not the super like this one. With Berger 185 hand loads it shoots between 1/2 and 3/4 moa. That's 2 to 3 inches at 400 yards. I am finding the 1-11 twist to be to slow for the long range work i want to do. I plan to shoot 230gr bullets to 2000m/2180y. To date i have only got to 1500m/1635y. So i ordered a new 1-10 heavy SS barrel for it.

Do the Tikkas have a pretty long throat in .300win mag? I've been wanting to buy this rifle but I know I've heard you can't play with your over all length much because of the limited space in the magazine?

Which caliber of Tikka (heavy barrel) will give the biggest number accurate of shots ? I'm looking in .308 but maybe something better I'm not aware of ?

I think from Memory about 1500 rounds, not my rifle but my .308 should be good for 5000 rounds
