Moneyball -- Movie Review #JPMN
Moneyball (2011) "Remarkable story, confident and engrossing", 7/10. Full episodes of Movie Night, every Friday night at: //bit.ly/JogJPMN ~~ Movie Night ...
This is one of those movies I missed in the movie theater, and the only
reason I noticed it when it came on Starz was because the cable guide said
it was 4 stars. I keep it on the DVR and occasionally rewatch the scene
where Haterberg hits the home run...which gives me chills every time I see
it. My only complaint is that after the climax, the ending drug on for a
bit, but I guess true stories don't always follow the traditional fictional
story model though.
It sucks this one didn't get an oscar for Pitt's acting, I thought it was
well directed too, as an A's fan who was in the stands during the real life
story. I wasn't at the 20th straight win, but I did attend games that
season.
I don't get it. This film is so highly praised but I didn't think it was
amazing. Maybe it was cause I was drunk, but it just didn't seem that great
at all.
why did you say it didn't have a happy ending! damn it now I know the ending
AbeBooks Review: The Blind Side and Moneyball by Michael Lewis
I read The Blind Side years ago and then recently watched the Moneyball movie with Brad Pitt, which inspired me to read the Moneyball book, which made me ...
Hi there, I was asked to write a report on a sports biography, however I am
not sure whether I would want to read Moneyball or The blind Side. I am
looking for a biography that is truly moving and will cause me to have an
emotional connection to the book to a certain extent in the sense where I
am motivated and inspired at the end. Nothing to boring as well, so I guess
an easy to read (considering I have to read another biography for English
as well) and something that will just make me want to continue on reading
it. Considering this, which one do you think I should read? and if you have
another suggestion please feel free to let suggest a different book! Much
appreciated!
Hi +Edmond Dang , our resident sports biography expert recommends Namath: A Biography by Mark Kriegel. Namath was the quarterback for the New York Jets and author Mark Kriegel is a former sports-columnist.
