I didn't know you were from Peoria, IL! I am from Chicago, now living in NW Illinois, about an hour and a half away, from Peoria! It's a meat tenderizer. Some people just call it a mallet! LOL I mostly eat chicken & fish now, but, this looks yummy! Thanks for sharing! Blessings!

This looks really good. And I don't even eat pork. I might try this with chicken. I'm from Indiana too and it's hard finding Midwest food on the east coast.
