Probably… if you read the other comments, I mentioned fitting a larger #14211 with a couple of mandrel bends, and I'd also recommend a 10-12" glass pack/resonator if your car didn't come with one. It's not loud enough to disrupt conversation or music, but it does drone a bit without the res.
Thanks! Replaced the mid muffler with Magnaflow #11375, deleted the rear muffler, and finished off with OBX T60a tip. No intake of software upgrades done in this clip.
I can't promise it will sound the same, but definitely similar. Inside the car, even with windows up, the exhaust note is very noticeable, but not to the point of being annoying. The drone can pretty well be covered by music at a comfortable volume, and doesn't interrupt conversation.I'd recommend a 5x8x14 offset in/center out muffler for rear mounted setups.
hey i have a 2006 jetta 2.5 and im tryna get the same sound as yours can
you tell me exactly what ypu did so when i go to the muffler shop tell them
the magnaflow exhaust
I had the mid muffler replaced with Magnaflow #11375, and the rear muffler had been removed. If your shop can do mandrel bends (or just buy a couple 120° and 90° 1-1.5x radius bends) it will be easier to fit (maybe even able to use the slightly larger #14211). As long as you're using a single mid mounted Magnaflow, it should sound like this.

Cut the rear boxes out and this is how it sounds. More info: //www.stanceworks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=53772.
