I did the 20psi in the front and 25 psi in the back, And I notice a BIG
change in the way the car drove. Before I had it at 32psi all the way
around and it road ruff. Every bump or crack on the road I hit it would
make the car rattle and sometime jerk the stirring wheel. 135 in the
front--20psi 165 in the back--25psi Thanks Chris

compression 44 idf carbs and 42x37 mm heads... bug, im from uruguay, how
many hp's can i have?
@thejustingolembiesky I think it's awesome! If I were to consider a slight
change, I would go for heads with slightly larger intake valves than stock.
This camshaft got it's potential way up on the RPM scale. Considering that
I'm running Megasquirt to control my timing, the driveability is very good
even though using a pretty "angry" cam. Never gonna run 009 again! Go for
it!
Hey I'm building the exact same motor except 40X35.5 ported heads (Stage 1
by Steve Tims), 9:1 c/r, and Dual 40DRLA Dellortos, and a cheap 1 3/8"
header (temporary). 98HP out of your combo at 6000rpm ain't bad!
1973 VW Super Beetle with 2332cc Engine: Rolling Video Coming Next Summer
I show off my 1973 Super Beetle with a 2332cc engine. The motor has dual Weber 48IDA carbs and was at one point built by Ken Jansen of Jansen Enterprises.
I had a really screwy merged hearder/muffler thing. It looks to me like it
was an offroad header that someone had modified to work with the muffler.
The muffler didn't fit right and hung down to low, scraped, leaked, etc. It
was just a bad deal. Also the rear engine tin didn't fit with that header.
I got the sidewinder because it is an awesome high quality exhaust that
fits properly, doesn't leak, and sounds great. I'll get some sounds with
the sidewinder soon, but it's fairly quiet.
The front is lowered with topline maxx struts. They're on the 2.5" drop
setting i think. They're exactly how the came to me, and it was the perfect
height. The rear is +7 outer and -7 inner I believe? Don't quote me on
that. The wheels are 16x6 in the front, 16x7 rear Porsche fuchs (had to go
to a 5x130mm pattern for that). The tires are 225/50/R16 in the rear and
185/55/R16 in the front. Thanks for the comment!
It's a 2332 with lightly ported heads, dual 48IDAs (the manifolds are port
matched to the heads) and now (added after this video) it has an A1
sidewinder exhaust. That's really all I know about it. I've never had it
apart to inspect the internals, but I'd suspect it has a pretty good cam to
it. Oh it does have ratio rockers. It also has a remote oil filter.
@ MrOvalteen shows what u fucking kno if it wasn't for the beetle there
would be VW and no vw means no audi, bently, bugatti, lamborghini and
without lambo the dodge viper wouldn't exhist not to mention many of the
poineering tech that these companies have developed
I would love to get my superbeetle in the condition yours is in, but I have
no money and mines so rough, its completely beyond my repair knowledge. It
would take a professional restoration to get it right. Check it out on my
channel. Input would be nice
what muffler did you have on before the sidewinder? also, what made you
switch to the sidewinder? and lastly can you make a video on what the
sidewinder sounds like? Cool super!!! I also have a super, 1971. Keep em
alive!!!
It's a type one motor. We have a rancho pro street transmission in it. So
far I haven't had any problems with the tranny. I think it has a Kennedy
clutch in it as well, but i don't remember what stage it was.
