Hi, so I am a bodybuilder/cook and probably one of the few who bothers to exercise his hands. I am actively lifting so my muscles are pretty dense, I have asked a co-worker to feel my hand and she said my normal hand state feels like a well done steak. Is there a different method I could use without using a tool or feeling some else's hand?

+Don Jave That's what your mother told you. That's what our mothers told ALL OF US. But the reality is that only the outside of a steak is required to be well cooked, because if the animal was healthy (and modern standards basically ensure this is always the case), the inside of a steak should also be healthy and devoid of any harmful bacteria or parasites, while the surface of the cut has been exposed to the air and whatever filthy tables it was left on before it gets to the kitchen.That's why hamburgers and anything involving ground meat should be ALWAYS well done because when grinding, it's all exposed and potentially contaminated.

Hedy, thanks so much for clearing up what in the heck a chicken tender is! Cut up chicken breast, I feel soooo dumb now. I've been to three different butchers here in Edinburgh, and gotten looks like I'm nuts. I was thinking it was some special part of the chicken they keep for themselves. Lol. I am laughing now. Obviously will never go to those butchers again, for the pure shame and stupidity. Thankfully, they aren't the ones near my house, haha. +10Taylor28 LOL! They did just kind of start showing up it seems years ago! It is just as easy to clean and cut the chicken breast, I found out it was much more cost effective! Don't feel silly, I remember thinking back, I said to myself, OK is this something I am SUPPOSED to know already? LOL :D
