Man, I am jealous of that poster! My copy was given to me, and the guy kept
the poster... guess I can't complain though. Grace Jones did a good job
with Warm Leatherette, maintained the minimalism but made it a dance song.
It's cool that you found Nursery Cryme, I hope you find Selling England By
The Pound someday too. I'm surprised how much I like Men Without Hat's
"Rhythm Of Youth". One hit wonders are like that sometimes. Is that the
promo version of Golden Age of Wireless?
Hi Wes, You made out very sweetly on this record show adventure for sure.
The Dylan and the Sly Stone was clutch buys. The Sly and the Family Stone
actually brings back some bad memories from the song 'Family Affair'. It is
a good and bad story for another day. I just bought and showed OMD's
'Crush' . Side A is one killer listen. Weird Al in 3-D, well alright.
Frankie says "Relax" in Liverpool. This was very enjoyable. Thanks Wes, I
always appreciate your videos~ Rob/Boston
I have a hard time cracking into a lot of Genesis, and Lamb Lies Down On
Broadway is a lot to take in. It's an interesting album for many reasons,
one of them being the fact that all the songs are relatively short in the
prog rock world. Fascinating album. It took me forever to sit down and give
Dolby some play. I found a copy of the 'Blinded by Science' EP. I hope you
enjoy these songs as much as I have. Wind Power, Airwaves, One Of Our
Submarines, etc. So good!
on the floor? or the table? I bring the stool so I can sit on it when on
the floor digging. Just throw it in one of those reusable totes you get for
a $1 from the grocery store. I usually then leave that bag with a dealer,
or if not with the person taking cash at the door, and go back for it as
needed throughout the day. cheers
I figured the KD was a smart buy, there was probably other things there I
missed, the seller didn't seem to care about anything outside of his niche.
There was a lot of 80's stuff in his $2 bins that looked like they might be
something I would like but I didn't recognize the names.
Those first two Fleetwood Mac albums I remember a blues buddy of mine
turned me on to in 69. I'd like to reacquire them again. I forgot what they
looked like though. I guess I should look it up so I won't bypass them on a
quick flip through prospective albums.
I have Selling England By The Pound in the inbox already, I am really
trying to Find Lamb Lies Down On Broadway. I saw one at the show but it was
$10 and not in very good shape. Yes the Dolby is a promo on harvest with
Wally in the deadwax!
nah Bobby, that was 1974 so Green was already long gone by then. Welch was
on guitar and it's his last LP with them. Buckingham Nicks joined for the
next LP and they released the monster S/T LP in 1975 followed by Rumours in
1977.
lots of great $2 finds, plugging in a few gaps in your collection you have
a good memory remembering what you need too. I also feel almost ready to
revisit the 80s these days! Only 23 years and counting.....
nice to hear that u had a good time in orlando record fair. i am so jealous
because in my city we don't have any record fairs at all but i will try to
catch up with some Key person here and organize one :)
Hi, Wes That "Rebel Yell" really caught my eye. Still in shrink wrap
(though opened but still)! Wish I could find that album in a condition like
that some day. Thank God 80s ruled, Jarkko
Thanks, maybe the show will be in september next year, it was last year I
think. I have been on the lookout for that Sly because I like the cover,
glad we found it!
I always try and buy a few unknowns at a show from the cheap bins, for $2
it is worth it to expand your comfort zone. Sometimes you hit a real
winner. cheers
I wish I could find more, I think maybe people are starting to learn about
them, I have only found Fore Majeur in a thrift, the rest I had to pay more
for.
I congratulate you ten guys in the boat as this action make an assurance to
the sea fares to have guts and believe. congratulation .Mizuno Marine
