+Sam Laird no its not full tang, the blade goes through about 3/4 of the blade and the butt end is a separate piece. Its made that way so you can chop live wire and not electrocute yourself. I hope this helped :)

It is full tang, but the tang ends slightly before the butt cap so the rubber between between them absorbs the shock.
