if you put a rachet on a metal bar it will strip the gears out

+luthan woodward no it won't

Always go oversize on your axle stands, when in doubt go big, having a 3 ton stand under your 2 ton car is just making you safer giving you a larger safety margin and higher capacity stands have larger bases and resting pads making them more stable and easier to position under your car. and a lot of "brand name" stuff comes from china now too, pretty much all of it does. But Ben here looks like he's been put on the spot, some obviously old some brand new tools, This is better then nothing but a lot of half truths mis information and bad advise. almost all lifetime tool warranty's are void if they believe a tool has been abused or mistreated. not to mention a person who doesn't know what there doing could hurt themselves by putting a 4 foot pipe on a 3/8 ratchet.

I go oversize on jackstands because I do not feel safe extending them beyond the halfway mark. I want a big foot when my car is up there.

+Justin Moretti I know exactly what you meam I am always huntin' moose and always have around 2-3 moose at back of the car for eatin' YEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAA
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-XdUIqdMkCWA/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/4252rscbv5M/photo.jpg?sz=64
Also bear in mind that if you are on the road, you might have to jack up not just the listed weight of your vehicle, but the load it's carrying as well. Nice to have that extra margin if you're carrying a half-ton of moose, an ATV, a hunting buddy and all your gear home. Sure, you can unload it, but if your hunt was in winter and a storm is closing in, I'd rather not take that extra time.

not necessarily for the weight rating, but the higher rated stands usually also have a much higher lift height.

Why would you recommend a ball peen hammer instead of a claw hammer most people will need a claw hammer before a ball peen. At home I mean
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-yFhuEdghTf4/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAEc/a5fPnDvf7VA/photo.jpg?sz=64
people who use a claw hammer for mechanical work should be sewn into a burlap bag and beaten with sticks.

I recommend a breaker bar with a flex head, they're cheep too starting at ~$15 online. But honestly I recommend going with a pro level one with a half inch drive, the heads on them are much stronger.

+Chris Mitchell i bought a stanley 17 1/4" - 1/2 drive, is it good?

12:20 And also destroy your wrench.

Did you not watch till 12:45?

This definitely helps people save time and money going back and forth to the store and often getting the tools that they didn't even need. Spending on the wrong tools and not finding the right ones that you need, is the biggest factor on why most people give up before they even started.

+George phillips great reply
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-XdUIqdMkCWA/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/4252rscbv5M/photo.jpg?sz=64
you if need to watch a video telling you what tools you'll need to fix something because you don't know what you will need ahead of time, then you probably shouldn't be working on whatever it is you are trying to work on.
