ask u, is that k20 motor from a japanese spec integra type r? because im
from australia and i know that the ones here are about 140+kw with the b18c
engine and the ones in japan are 160+kw. are they the same engine?? or is
the japanese one using a k20? And also what other honda uses the k20? Is it
the in the later integra? please help! LOL

a euro guy but none the less I love any car that goes fast...but nothing
was shown here..I mean if I had to throw down money judging from the sound,
I'm goin for the muscle...I've seen some fast fuckin ricers for sure and I
love the little 4 banger that could, but don't start chirppin the muscle

type r, if not then a ek coupe..DOHC vtec of course. in australia the type
r's hav round headlights unlike japan. i luv type r's but if i cant find
one, i may settle for a ek coupe with mods..nothing major,.exhaust, cold
air intake and a bit of suspensn work. 2 questions, how does a ek civc
coupe wit da mods i mentioned go against a stock type r?
The k20 is from the EP Civic called civic SIR 2002/2003 you can have k24
from rsx typeR. the integra motor your talking about at 140 is the b18 from
the gsr you can ahve the typeR one that make 220hp or the civic TypeR one
that push 200 hp thoses are the best. but if you ahve a lower budget go for
a b18c/b16a2 thoses are 170/180hp with a 7000/8000 redline

man think about it....look at crash tests for the civic....those are done
at less than 65 mph (100kms) and they do crumple....some of them earn an
acceptable rating....but put even more power and multiply that same crash

@ hasonlinek20 If you get a chance, can you please give me an idea as to
how much a swap for a k20 type R will cost me for a 98 hatch? Im still
undecided between b18c and k20. I know K20 is simply the best but b18c will
cost me about 3k. I hope you reply! Thanks!
i tink dat tawking like dis iz wetawded. speak fucking english. take the
extra .0003 seconds that it takes to spell the word out correctly. and VW's
are decent, til they break down. then, they are the biggest pain in the ass

own a sx corolla and its very reliable, never had a problem. My first time
for vtec so im excited, i love n/a cars so I hope these hondas dont let me

i know the civic is pretty light. Also what is the difference between 98-01
type r in australia/uk and 98-01 japanese version? I know the japanese
version has 20kw more power making it 164kw and has different headlights.

How the hell were you able to retain power steering! I have a 2000 ek but
it's left hand drive and this has made me want to stay away from a k series
swap because my car came factory with p/s and a/c. I figure it would be a
pain in the ass to replace the steering rack with a non power unit and
remove all the a/c crap! Please let me know how you did this!
its prob limiting early becuz its on a "break in" tune they're trying to
make sure everything works proper before motor sees crazy rpms. Just
imagine what one slight tuning error such as say running lean etc would do
at 9k can u say dangerous detonation?
why is it sitting back there? Cause thats the aftermarket intake for the
k20 (short ram). It would have to be tucked away in front of the front
wheel to be "cold air". So pretty much he has to custom fab his own if he
wanted a cold air.
dude... don't you know K20's have a rev limiter? check all 06 and above Si
videos revving their engines... you'll hear that same noise. it cuts off
the rev at 5,500 rpm.
No people are saying its limiting early as in the rev limit will be like
that even when he drives it! Thats what im asking why everyone is saying
its limiting early!
It had a Spoon airfilter, testpipe, and Invidia G200 catback. So its
basicly stock. I already sold it, and the new owner got 219 hp with adding
a Hytech header and retune it.
nice. loving your car, and swap especially. looks exactly like my k20a2
setup. same painted wrinkle red valve cover with the original black spark
plug cover. hah. i want to change that so bad.
