I was born in the '60s. My parents had a large wooden hi-fi stereo cabinet
with a compartment for record albums. They played instrumental music by
artists popular in the day (Mancini, Mantovani, Percy Faith, etc.). Now I'm
drawn to music that reminds me of that simpler time. I never knew this hit
song was the theme from a Brit TV show! In the U.S. we had the theme from
the soap "The Young and the Restless." But I prefer "Sleepy Shores."

For me they were "background noises" then but in later times that music grew into beautiful memories of a happy, sheltered and safe childhood...
