Just Like Mom Part 1 Canadian gameshow
This is me (Pierre) as a kid on the Canadian game show Just Like Mom 28yrs ago!!!! The year was 1981. Show consists of questions moms and toddlers must ...
@fifalacious Just because I don't want my children to be kissed by an older
man on the lips doesn't mean I put them in a bulb, if I had a child, I'd
want my child to explore the world and not be in a bulb, but you must
understand my opinion some? Also, being that I had experiences in my
childhood that have made me cautious about pedophiles and child molesters(
not saying he is a child molester)Plus, when I see and adult making a child
uncomfortable it bothers me. But, we all have our opinions.
@hipnotyq Being on our guard, we're more readily disturbed when we see a
man (mr oliver) being 'sweet' to little girls. Honestly, take a step back,
and look at what you're insinuating. Look at the way he spoke to me... he
was gentle, loving, very normal. I think today's society has lost the sense
of being innocently sweet. I'm just saying, back then it had nothing to do
with pedophilia, and today it still has no hints of it. It's our own
perception which has been shaped by recent events.
@fifalacious I am looking at the context. I admit he may not be a perv. I
don't have enough evidence to say either way (although many of the
questions are pretty "odd"). But I still hate people who treat children as
though they are brain damaged. I'm sure he thinks it's the proper adult way
to talk to them, but even a very small child can tell you are talking down
to them when you do it this way. They're young people, not necessarily
stupid people.
All this hype surrounding the host, and calling him a perv.... I'm not 100%
sure that's necessarily true. It was a different time, and different
culture... and a kids game show. It used to be normal for an adult to be
affectionate towards a child. I know there are some sick psychos out there,
but I'm not sure this guy is one of 'em. And if we here have somebody who
was actually on the show, then maybe it really was innocent.
@BENZGIRL3 lol!!! You don't sleep in??? Maybe depends on how many kids you
got! :p Ahm... my dad was cuttin wood one day and along with it the index
finger of the hand he'd hold his cigarettes in. THAT was the decisive
moment to quit!! :-/ but he did, and never looked back. :) ... as far as we
know ;) No, we'd know actually from his breath, and he doesn't care for
public opinion much so he'd feel free to smoke whenever. :)
@hipnotyq point being, were starting to go to a point where because of
advances in technology such as the internet, there are eyes everywhere and
nobody can hide from the horrible shit they do. Corrupt cops are getting
taped by cell phones, priests are getting called out when they molest a
child and celebs in the public eye are getting destroyed for pulling shit
like Mr. Olver right here.
@fifalacious all the priests that have been molesting children that are
hiding behind the cloth, not the pope personally but he might as well have.
Good thing the church is becoming a laughing stock and people are seeing it
for the sham that it has been for thousands of years. But thats human
beings for you, a bunch of sheep being led blindly.
@Jackie2324 Hey there Jackie, unfortunately I tried to obtain a copy from
the station and I'm pretty sure I either got no reply, or they didn't carry
it. This is a personal vhs copy. Best I can do lol. It would of been
awesome if your sister was one of my competitors ;) :) good luck tryin to
hunt it down! Does serve for great memorablia eh?
@jessicakennon you'd have to consider the context. National television,
families present, back in the 80s, this was all innocent. Wake up! Stop
puttin your children in bulbs and making them phobic of society. Society at
large is good. This man meant no harm. If there ever was even an inkling of
maliciousness, he'd not have been aired long.
@spolly18 you're not considering the CONTEXT! Obviously if a man came up to
me and said, 'hey buddy, lemme kiss your 8yr old daughter!' I'd freak. But
this is not what we're seeing HERE. We're seein a game show host, tryin to
be nice and tryin to break the ice. Do you know how nervous i was as a kid
on a nationally televised game show? :Oo
@rrpostalagain look at the context. He was't treating us that way. I'm
sorry. Now maybe if i were one of those girls all grown up now, today, i'd
prolly frown on being treated like a child and teased in that way... but I
think i'd still consider the context... that he meant no harm, and really
did no harm. Sorry.
@brabon1 it's not nearly the same as forcing your D*** down some poor
girl's throat, I mean really should chould choke on it or
something......hahahahaha you got f****ing trolled, c***s, let me hear
those insults, I need further proof of you sensitivity & faggotry. God
Sheeple these days.
@jessicakennon that's different then! I can see why you'd be uneasy. Sorry
you had to go through that. Of course you'd be bothered!! Don't get me
wrong, you're never gonna see it happen in today's society and pass it off
as innocent. I hear where you're comin from.
@hipnotyq ahm, this was nationally televised. He never got charged lol!
He'd never get charged for abuse because given the context, it's NOT
PEDOPHILE. People, don't get all phobic! A court of law would never see him
as a pedophile, in THIS context. Sorry.
Ummm.... This guy was A SERIOUS perv!!! I think he only did this show to
get his rocks off. He was sick, and it was obvious. Because there was still
a little innocence left in the 70s, he was allowed to get away with that
shit... (u were a cute kid, btw)
Wow, you were ahead of your time with the smoking issue. Maybe Canada was
down on smoking before the US? Be interested to know if you smoke or if
your dad eventually quit? Mom's sleep in on the weekends..? Someone should
have told me this years ago! } (
Hey Pierre - my sister was on this show sometime in the early 80s. We had
it taped but my little brother taped over it and have been looking for
another copy ever since. Is this your personal copy or did you obtain it
from the station or something?
Pierre....have you seen the pedophile compilation of Fergie kissing young
girls. This guy is single-minded in his pursuit of kissing 11 year olds.
His wife can be heard saying "Dirty Old Man" on the video. BTW...his wife
has since divorced him.

@fifalacious And now him and his WIFE are DIVORCED... Hmmm I wonder how
that could of ever happened? His wife even called him a dirty old man on
one of the shows. He'd be in jail if this show was going on today.
Hee hee - wow! I used to watch this everyday on ATV (New Brunswick) when I
was a kid. What a trip to see a full episode again. Thanks for sharing.
P.S. - Did your dad ever give up smoking?
Pierre, I'm just wondering, if a older man or man of any age that was a
stranger kissed your little girl would you feel uncomfortable?Especially,
if he seemed to force it on her.
There were 3 kids.....but he's clearly more interested in the girls.... "A
couple of cuties. How old are the girls? Ever been kissed? Well you might
be today......"

USA is number 1 for excuses2002 Herb Brooks "I dont understand the format".....somehow insinuating that the USA deserved an easier opponent for having a better tournament up to that point2010 Ron Wilson "I never heard anyone talk about how the referee got in the way on Crosbys goal".....Sorry Ron, if anything the ref got in th way of crosby and crosby had the presence of mind to knock the puck back to Iginla. Crosby did, after all, have possesion upon entering the offensive zone.Gretzky said it best "IT happened to us but we SUCKED IT UP and kept going"....its becoming apperent that these other countries just dont have a clue.
I agree with Wayne Gretzky 100% with every word that he said because it is
the truth. We Canadians need to have that same hatred and dislike toward
the other teams like Russia, USA, etc., and play like it the way they do
towards us. Canada is THE greatest hockey superpower on earth. We just have
to prove it EVERY time.
+InglebertHumperdink1 Actually most neutral people have a very positive attitude against Brazil. They're the "charming" "playful" side. I personally resent that phenomenon but that's how it's been for decades. And since football is such a bigger sport, there's so much quality out there that there isn't one obvious leading nation like Canada has been historically in hockey. Even if they haven't won every single thing they're the obvious home of the sport.
+vinny bunbats The US is doing much better, they are starting to follow the Canadian mentality of not just grabbing all their best players but actually assembling a team. The Russians do just the opposite, they have some great Russian players but all they do is grab the ones they think are best, throw them together and think they should win just on that. You have to assemble a team, maybe you don't get the absolute best players but they are the best at what they are needed for
well there was two superpowers in hockey #1 Canada #2 Soviet union. but now theres only one Canada. Russia, US and Sweden are good teams just not great.
Some kind of inferiority complex. You can't get into a hockey discussion with a European without them trying to put down Canadian hockey and touting how good their own hockey is in comparison. It's really annoying and makes you just roll your eyes.
+F Dannn agreed, it was his last shot at an olympic gold as a player, I guess everybody would be sad; no hard feelings, dude, I was just chirping, part of hockey ;-)
Well what athlete wouldn't be saddened? Gretzky won internationally with Canada during the Canada Cup tournaments but 1998 was his only shot at winning Olympic Gold, although to give him credit he was part of the management team that put together that forever legendary 2002 Salt Lake team.
+F Dannn he clearly had tears in his eyes when he sat on the bench after the semi-finals, just type "gretzky crying in nagano" in youtube and you may even find a video of Don Cherry consoling him :-) just teasing you anyway, why tf would I hate Canada ;-)
+faunbudweis He didn't sob either, no tears whatsoever came from he eyes, he just looked disappointed like any athlete would after losing a big game. Gretzky didn't cry or sob, its a myth propelled by the anti-Canada haters.
+faunbudweis He actually never cried, don't know where that myth comes from.
