WOW what memories thanks! I was A 1/59 ADA 80-82 back when family and
friends were still alive. I must admit I got a little teary eyed to see
this place 30 tears later. most of the buildings on post and those
apartments off post were NOT there. I ran my PT test on that road you drove
on outside the post and ran 2 miles in 11:11 You're right, the place looks
deserted Strange you should pick the little river band as background music
in 2011 when its what I was listening to in the barracks in 1980

Ya we got old bro but I refuse to slow down just turned 50 lol I would have
married the blonde I met at the SM but got orders to PCS to the states. but
all the nights along the rhine river with her were awesome. then there was
this rock cafe blonde i passed out on the train coming back from the
rolling stones concert franfurt. she got off the train and left me on it.
next time I talked to her she said I drink to much lol Yeah those were the
daze.

I do remember the NCO club.(vaguely the bands) me and another dude from
Cal. closed the post over (what turned into) a big brawl there. They had
the UP's, CP's, MP's, & the Polezi. LOL they called an alert a few hours
later (they were notorious for all of the alerts) So, we all headed to the
motor pool and get in our tracks and go sit in a feild allday long with a
hangover. I'll try and check out the song when I get a chance. PFC Russell

Im a little late sorry lol, A batt. 2/1 ADA , Nike Hercules missle system ,
Bro I WAS AT THAT STONES concert , went with a bunch of 95 b's we most def
were there at the same time , lol sad bout your girl , If she would have
shit to see how much i drank over there , plus the other little brown
square thing lol We closed the Missle site in the beginning of 83 , Wish I
had a Mark every time I passed out on that train back from Franfurt

No bro , I cant remember were I shit last , I do remember the Cordon bleu
at the on post club though , and that little guest house across from the
bus stop , I ( drunk ) ate so much hinchn and palm frits from that place Im
sure that dude is driving a brand new Benz from the money I spent on his
carry outs , and the Beer barn on the corner , God I carried so much Beer
back from that place I cant even make my girl friend believe .

Yeah the post was mainly 1/59 grunts with 2/1 support and that was all. One
time I was in the mess hall eating and looked up and saw someone I knew in
high school. he was there training for 2 weeks from another far away post.
of course I had to show him the Strange Machine lol. About 6-8 months later
(samething) look up.. and there's some one that went to my High School
named Nick P. he was 2/1 know him?

Oh man did the name STRANGE MACHINE fit that place or what? Death trap, Hot
girls stopping to piss on the sidewalk that twists and turns steeply
downhill torwards the street. I got so blitzed at a wine fest in Inglehiem
once I found myself wandering aimlessly around inglehiem until somehow
stumbling upon the only place I recognized.. THE STRANGE MACHINE. lol

Check this out.. we just "got out of the feild" and went to the concert
(the next day) and raged. We had so much fun we went again the next night..
30 years later (15 minutes from my home) I'm front row STONES Cardinal

did time there in 80 to 81. I was a spoon there. Was with 1/59 ADA.. Got
married in Denmark and lived at 33 Hammegasse Ingleheim till I came
statesside.When I was a drunk I drank at stangemachine and the oiler.
