Borderlands 2 is property of 2K Games, Gearbox Software and Claptrap. ---------------------------- Listing my graphics and a link to my ini settings below. Watch in ...
Definitely not perfect. Most of the time it sits between 50-60fps but
during combat and different spots in bigger maps it can drop lower. 12.9
beta has helped a bit but this game gives a lot of people on different
cards all kinds of problems.
You'll be able to run it fine on max settings, physx low. You'll get
smoother performance than shown in the video because the drivers have
improved substantially since then.
I don't have Borderlands 2 yet, but will I be able to run this game with
max settings? I have i7 3740QM, HD7970M (running on 1920x1080) and 8GB of
RAM 1600MHz).
Thanks man and that run was a blast. I'm convinced that leveling up several
times plus meditation sessions with a monk will net us a WIN against that
guy.
A couple of minutes of pure rampage on the streets of Empire Bay from Mafia II demo. You can see some cool PhysX and APEX effects, and a lot of exploding ...
Hey, ever think of upgrading the cpu? Will make a big difference. I have a
e8500 running at 4.4ghz. Benchmark scores gave me 113max, 13 min, 34
average. I have the same gpu but better ram.
dammit, on ps3 version my clothes aren't flying and reacting. that makes
the game look like mafia 1. that makes mafia 2 not be so good. ps3 could do
that...
@seriousman006 I'll assume that the AMD is still plugged into the primary
slot and the Nvidia is in the secondary slot. Check that the cards are
recognized in your bios. Uninstall any ATI and Nvidia drivers from the
system. Boot to safe mode and run Driver Sweeper to completely clear all of
your ati and nvidia drivers. If both cards are recognized by the bios you
should be able to start installing drivers and it shouldn't matter which
you do first as I've done it both ways with no issues.
Can someone please tell me, i don't understand how i can do this..I have
HD4850, and almost every game works great, in DX10/DX9.. But I want to have
PhysX, but I don't have nVidia, and I wanna buy some cheap card like
8400GS/GT210... But, I'm not sure that cards can do PhysX, the cards are
very, very, weak. So, what is the cheapest nVidia, that can finish the job
for Hybrid PhysX? (Any how should I connect to cards on one monitor, I saw
something about fake display... o.O) THANKS.
@Greglaz125 A 750w is fine for both of those cards unless you have some
CRAZY other stuff in your rig. But I don't think it'd be worth it to use a
5770 for rendering and a 560 for physx since the 560 is significantly more
powerful than the 5770 for rendering. You'd be crippling your system for
all your non-physx games just to get a little better performance in the few
games that use hardware physx and don't tax the 5770 as much. Not worth it
IMO.
You're not using hybrid PhysX. Check the load on your nVidia GPU - it will
remain zero, as the CPU is doing all the calculations. Right now, there
doesn't seem to be a way to get this game to work with a hybrid setup.
Renaming just PhysXDevice.dll does nothing, and renaming more files ends up
with a dialog complaining about too low a PhysX version. Maybe it will work
when the next patchable version of PhysX is released, but it doesn't now.
@TrueThanny No worries. We're discussing the 1107 over on Ngohq. Some
people claim to have gotten the 1107 to work with B:AC using some other
workarounds but I haven't bothered with it myself since 0621 still works
and GenL says he'll take a look at the 1107 when he gets a chance to see
what they changed this time. I really don't get why Nvidia keeps doing this
and screwing people that bothered to buy their hardware.
look ive seen you have with high physx 22 fps on benchmark.a whole card a
whole gtx460 and still 22 fps.i get 22 fps too but with 1 card that renders
the game and physx but you are using the whole card for it and yet 22 fps.
and 1 more thing.NEVER listen to what a publisher recommends.they said
battlefield 3 on ultra for example needed 2 cards to run 60 fps.well i have
60 fps with 1 card.
no nothing changed.its just at first i was trying to play with the settings
left and right changing everything i can.by the way.i dont see much physx
in this game.although they are great of how they appear and you can
interact with them but it doesnt appear to too many places. also from what
i remember arkham asylum was able to run in my card 60 fps constant.so no
need for a 2nd card.
@Greglaz125 @Greglaz125 Yes, it hitches for a moment on the benchmark. Two
frames hit 22 when the glass breaks. I haven't seen that in gameplay (yet).
I tend to listen to what's recommended for Physx since it's been spot on
for every Physx game I have. Your rig is under the minimum requirement for
high physx so I'm not sure what kind of performance you expect to see.
Have you tried physically REMOVING the Geforce and enabling PhysX? It still
works :P I'm running a Radeon 6970 as my primary and Geforce GTX 260 as my
Physx card - i get the effects with or without the geforce..at the same
fps. I cant tell if my gtx is actually doing dedicated physx....when i run
benchmarks like Fluidmark, it wont even run without the GTX connected.
very good but all i have to say is that this game has huge problems.i have:
i5 2400 3,1ghz 8gb ram hyper-x kingston 1 gtx560ti 1gb msi twinfrozr and if
i put physx to high im around 35-45 fps.this game is more than broken.i
just hope when dx11 is fully fixed that dx9 will be fixed too at the same
time because even in dx9 i cant go 60fps constant.
anyway i run this game with high physx now and 32xcsaa 1920x1080 all maxed
out dx9.game runs min 40 average 45-55 max 60(vsync)cause i hate tearing
and stuttering. never crashed on me 6 hours of gameplay but after the patch
it will for sure run great on dx9.thing is they fix dx11 so tesselation
isnt a problem too and maybe it will run well.
@Greglaz125 You need two (2) cards. Your 560 + another card just for physx.
It's been that way in every Physx game I have (Alice, arkham asylum, arkham
city, metro 2033, mirror's edge, graw 2, mafia 2, etc.) If you don't have
two cards and only have the one 560 you're under the minimum requirements
for running hardware physx on high.
@kenpojujitsu3 Ok, so.. I have to options, one is this, XFX 8800GT 256Bit
Alpha Dog Edition, and I have second option, I have PoweColor HD4850 and
one guy has an offer, I give him my HD4850 and 50 euro more, for exchange
for Leadtek WinFast GTX 550Ti OC Model..? Your opinion..? Thanks, again..
(and no more questions, I promise :))
yeah i just cleaned up my pc defragged my hdd cleaned registry and stuff
and didnt left anything behind.i dont have even many services running.im
having 58 services on windows.my pc right now is ready for anything.just so
they can improve physx performance and game performance and im done with
this game.
@Greglaz125 That actually sounds normal. To run Physx any better than that
you'll need a dedicated card for Physx (the launcher recommends a 570 and a
separate 460 for Physx). High hardware Physx on only one card never runs
that well on any Physx games I've played/tested.
