In short- bend and twist the hell out of it... lol then get yourself one with a socket wrench nut to make next time easier! They also make "Oil Filter Band Wrenches" ...
Yea, when I tried to crank my filter off, the wrench kept denting the
filter. So then I grabbed a 12" metal rod and smashed that shit right into
the filter, and ta-da...filter off lol! Btw, I just subscribed to your
channel since you said your subscriptions are all about fitness channels,
motovloggers, and you're also 21 years old. Same here XD lol, I like the
videos man
My advice to you is to dip you finger in your new oil and coat the rubber
seal on your new filter, if you don't already, and make sure the oil
sending unit (where the filter goes) is nice and clean. Also, you DO NOT
want to tight an oil filter super tight, I have always tightened my oil
filters by hand and just made sure there as tight as i can get them without
any tools and have never had a leak at the filter. This should make it alot
easier to remove next time.
yup i did the finger coating seal trick forgot to mention that, as for the tightness i just cranked it acouple millimeters past hand tight, whoever the person was before me must have been the hulk lol
That's how I had to do my fucking shot the first time. We literally tried everything for 3 hours and then did that and it almost didn't work. Just started ripping threw it..
good point! i was leaving for school the next day so i had to improvise lol
