Great video bro!! super entertaining riding and commentary. I am coming off
of an xr 250. getting a ktm 200 xcw. How do you think the power differences
will be?? do you think that the ktm 200 will have the same torquey feel but
with 2x the top end??
CANT WAIT!!! PLZ lemme know what you think :)
Hahaha i completely feel you dude. the Mx hit is just plain insane sometimes for the woods. The husky te250 man is cheap and the husky motor is incredibly torque. It lugs lower and pulls smoother than a 250f and it has maybe 10 more horsies on the top when you open it up all the way.
08 Ktm 200xcw, but I race jdays, and was thinking of buying either a 2016 250f or a new ktm/husky 250 2 stroke. I really just want a NEW bike, as I've only ever bought used. Honestly, for me the 200 is the PERFECT engine, I've ridden a retardedly nice 2014 250sx and while I was way faster because of the suspension setup, the bike was WAY to powerful for me. It had all the mods of an A/pro level race bike (HC head, HC piston, porting and polishing...) and I physically couldn't ride it on the pipe for more than two laps without being dangerous. It was just way to much hit for me, I only weigh 160.
I actually rode a 250f once and at the time I didn't like it, cause it wasnt set up well for the woods. It is crazy tho man how far shits improved. I love the way a 2 stroke motor is kinda like a slingshot with barely any engine resistance. It helps me keep my speeds up a Lot. What do you ride?
hahah you should try a brand new 250f, then you'll really realize how far ALL bikes have come since the xr. Literally any bike wouldve been a MASSIVE step up from your XR.
Thanks for the response man. No offence taken, the xr is a slow piece of shit. I got a 2006 Husqvarna wr250 2 stroke and its so light and fast and amazing suspension. It blows the xr out of the water in every single aspect. Even luggability. I am officially a 2 stroke lover. The 1 kick starts after a fall is a huuuge benefit. and the screaming top end is so fucking fun. 2 stroke for life lol
+Jacobl Ammons Ok so, I can help you a little, but idk if its too late. I would say NO dont get any KTM older than 2008, they weren't nearly as good (handling, suspension, reliability) back then. If you're coming off an XR, I'd recommend the XC-W over the XC. the XC wont have any lights, stiffer suspension, and slightly different gearing. Also, the power will be WAYYYYYYYY MORE EVERYTHING over your XR. in comparison, your XR is a piece of shit, if you wanna take offense to that go ahead, but you're still riding a slow ass bike. So basically any 2008 or newer (even the older ones) KTM 200 XC-W or EXC will blow your current XR out of existance.
hell yeah bro. thank you for responding. you are a fricken beast at riding. I cant wait to get a 200 :) is the 05 200 exc a good bike? i found one used asking $2400
ride as slow as possible and keep the bike up while standing once youve
got that try popping a wheely and putting the front wheel where you want
(standing on the pegs) then start goin over trees and balanceing maybe on a
fallen tree but try to ride up and down the tree and your sure to gain more
skill and prevent injuring thank you
thank you for sharing this video i did not see that one but that is damn
good balance im only 13 about to be 14 and my goal is to make it to the
endurocross SOMEDAY i have a question when u built that enduro track what
did you use logs or telephone poles and how often do you tend to the track
to keep it nice?
im just telling you,you might have already done this but its not realy
about pounding motos yes this is great practice in trusting your bike but
going to an unknown track racing and just trying to explode out the gate,
unfourtunately with get you hurt but the best practice is to practice
balance
Im sorry about your arm... I want to go racing the AMA Endurocross, but I
would like to get a rented bike, because I'm from Guatemala and it is very
difficult to get the bike. Do you know if there is a company that rent
bikes for these races???
@jorge85cc I am really not sure but i know there is a Husaberge KTM dealer
in Las Vegas and i bet you could call them and they would know of renting
company. I think you should give it a shot man i bet you could hold your
own in a race. :)
@jorge85cc Yes i do man!!! I am currently not riding right now because i
just broke my arm two weeks ago training for the endurocross season.
Hopefully i will be healed up for the last two rounds in Idaho and Las
Vegas.
+Endurbro Rider Yes it did get much quieter after the rebuild and no side to side movement.
Poker Run 2013 China hat Lobos MC KTM 300
Had a great time at the Lobos MC poker run. Although there were a few mistakes and wrong turns We still had a great time.... KTM 300 Enduro.
Worlds Longest Hill Climb Ktm 525 Christini AWD
Yes, I know this is not the longest hill climb. I did not name it. It is my opinion that it is the most difficult hill that is very long. Several Four Wheelers have climbed ...
I might come up for sunday... Saturday morning is turkey season. Right now i have my YFZ450 torn down bare, adjusting the valves, got a new exhaust and jetting it. Along with the trailer work i did this past weekend, hopefully ill be ready to go.
Hey awesome job, that hill don't look easy, there are a ton of ruts and
rocks and trees all the way up, so one mistake someone would go down or hit
a tree. Anyway that's awesome 59 years old and climbing that hill. I would
love to climb it on my HONDA ATC three wheeler. I have climbed hills that
newer sport quads can't, so if you say quads have went up it I know I can
climb it, I will climb any hill a quad can, but on my Trike.
+King Trevorton I will see what I can do come spring. I would love to come down there, I remember you guys are in PA , that is where I came to buy my 350x, I was in PA about 100 miles from New York City, I know there is a lot of Trikes around that area, I can't belieave someone down there don't ride a trike, anyway I'm riled up I would love to hit that hill, we will talk again.
+King Trevorton are you being serious, you really will pay me 500 if I make the hill. Are you rich or just have money to give away, because by the way you said it You make it sound like I'm not going to make the hill. Look if quads have made that hill the same spot the motorcycle did then I know for 100% shure I can climb it on a three wheeler. Holy shit there aren't NO guys around there that have trikes that can go climb it for you. I have to think about this, where exactly is this hill, what state what city, I'm going to Google it and see how far away you are.
+King Trevorton Hey I would love to, but I don't think it will ever happen, I'm in Michigan. I just saw people saying quads have climbed the same hill and that if a quad can climb it then for shure I can, I have rode three wheelers for over 30 years and have climbed several hills that's guy's on newer quads can't or won't try. Like I said it don't look easy but if a quad can then my trike can.
Right now the jetting is bone stock. The bike is a 2003 btw. The only
'mods' it has is an FMF Turbine Core II and Boyeson Power Reeds. It runs
absolutely perfect, except that I think there is very slight detonation. I
have a thread over on Thumpertalk if you're interested, just added it to
the description. :)
I own an '11 yz250. Played with timing which helped alot (retarded it) but
found just 25% VP110 made it run sooo much smoother. ....i still only have
under 30 light hours on the bike but cannot wait to get Eric's 300 kit in 2
more years. 2 strokes are just too reliable to pull apart until at least
100 hrs.
I was definitely not disappointed. I've read that bone stock YZ300s break
the 50hp mark, which might not blow you away, but I'm really impressed with
the bottom end and midrange, plus the transition is so smooth.
