They see this H1 B visa to be cheap and save money for their higher ups in the company to get bonuses. They use this visa as an escape goat to fire an American worker who has gotten a degree from a Us college. Go to Google and look up H1B visa issue and you will be horrified.

As a former OPT holder, I know what Trump was referring to. He was talking about foreign students who study in the US on an F1 visa. After such a student graduates, he has 1 year of what's called OPT (Optional Practical Training), where he can get a job w/ any company willing to hire him. If that company wants to keep him beyond a year, it needs to get in line for H1Bs. So Trump would either have to grow the number of H1Bs to accommodate that - maybe he can allow H1Bs exclusively for those - or he would have to allow someone to go directly from OPT to green card. That would allow him to take in foreign students w/ US degrees into the workforce, w/o opening the floodgates to foreign workers who are just cost downs for US ones.

+InfidelWithout an over abundance of cheap labor the companies would have to pay more for the jobs. All jobs were done in the past before this era of importing massive amounts of 3rd World labor to Western countries. Not having enough jobs for everyone is increasing the unemployment levels and is one of the reasons our nations are going bankrupt.
