@Flukr22 No. I've not had any problems at all, but if you get one thats not running it can be a little tricky to get running but, once you have it running good they'll last forever man. and the 420a engine is a buttet proof beast.

My uncle have your same eclipse in black but it doesnt sound like this, i think your exhaust have holes, and those holes makes thath sound, also my pontiac sunfire of 99 have some holes in the exaust + 2.4 engine = sound like a beast!

I got a OBX muffler. I already have a full race exhaust which came with a fart can like most and cops got me right away. The new obx muffler which im just gona weld on should be a little quieter to i hope.

@swaz619 i dont want to sound cocky or like a dick but if i was you i would just save my money and go buy a one GST or GSX.....cuz that gs is not worth putting money in to it will never be fast....

So thats the stock exhaust? Cause I just got a new race muffler hoping it would look factory to keep cops away and if thats stockthen my race muffler looks just like it.

@swaz619 : In the US every Spyder GS -1999 has the 2.4l "4g64"-engine, the regular GS Coupe has a 2.0l "420a"-engine. :)

The 2.4 only came in the Spyders.... made the same amt of hp as the 2.0ltr... I have a 98 GS with the 2.0 420a

that hole sounds like crap get a new muffler. I recomend Apex'i N-1. That what i have on mine.

@swaz619 ? my 1997 Eclipse GS has a 2.0 DOCH not a 2.4 maybe you got the other way around

not exatly, the GS-T has a 2.0l turbo engine and the GS has a 2.4l engine.

it's a 4G64. A 2.4 litter non-turbo engine with +140HP.
