Hebert couldn't have been more right. i think that there was some argument between the players and Les before the game. that would explain why T-Bob Hebert, Bobby's son and talented offensive lineman, didn't play. Russell Shepperd didn't play but 3 snaps either and wasn't even looked at. Some internal problems with the team most likely occurred, probably regarding QB play (Jefferson vs Lee), that ruined LSUs chances in the game.

In those days,prior to the Super Bowl era.Either Cleveland,Green Bay,or Dallas would play in the NFL Title Game.1964 was Cleveland's year.
