Using prisoners to make products for private businesses (for example,
defense contractors who then sell the weapons to the U.S. government) is
actually a form of fascism. Fascism is creeping into our daily lives more
and more in the U.S. everyday. The line between big business and government
is actually being blurred to the point where you can't tell the difference
between the two anymore. An example of this would be corporations heavily
funding the campaigns for politicians. It's corporatism.

DEM Youre OK with real ID?...The feds cant stop CA or any other state for
that matter from selling medical marijuana.. They cant regulate guns in a
school zone in anyone of the 50 states (gun free school zone act
unconstitutional) What makes anyone think they can implement a National ID
card and force anyone to get one?... this is invasion of privacy on a
national scale.. Real ID has been nullified by most of the states.. and It
will be nullified by the people as well..Either way its dead..

id hire an older person over a younger person sorry its just older have way
more experience, have better work ethics and overall more mature, they just
make better employees generally. As far as prison companies I really don't
see anything wrong with it as long as the state doesn't make profit on it.
I used to be against the idea but I have to admit there is a lot of good
points to it for everyone involved and no I dont own stock in any company
that uses prison workers so im not that biased

My friend at work says that we have soldiers that have been in Libya that
are already being rotated out and replaced with new marines. I believe him,
he was in Iraq before the war even started. He witness a women getting
stoned to death in Iraq before the war started. Our country has cia and
soldiers in these countries before they even invade. Notice how our media
no longer wants to talk about Egypt. Things are good over there, no desire
in our media to show that freedom is a good thing.

I worked in a factory when I was in high school that had prisoners from the
county come in on a work release program. They made minimum wage building
sewing machine cabinets and the money went to pay their fines and debts as
well as their cost of prison upkeep. It seemed to work and it kept them out
of trouble while in jail. Latter I bacame the county jail MD and the
program was stopped. The prisoners now eat up tax payer $ and sit in
airconditioning watching TV and playing cards all day

Who can argue that the justice system isn't skewed in favor of those who
can afford lawyers; it favors itself, the institution. The justice systems
natural enemy is the common man and especially the poor. If people are now
guilty until proven innocent, and the product of our incarceration is
profit, then what we call a justice system is little more than a forced
servitude machine. I saw a youtube video about a mother who is pending 10
years in jail for selling weed to an undercover cop.

The moment that a prisoner createds more wealth from their labor than it
takes to keep them away from law abiding citizens, then they can stop
working. Up to that point, stick a cattle prod into their ass every morning
and get 12-hours out of them. Then hit them with a stick until they learn
to read and can perform menial job-related tasks. Make them so afraid of
incarceration that they never so much as spit on the sidewalk again. Repeat
offenders, time for "Soylent Green is people" LOL

@Plum369 ditto,Great comment! Years ago the prison system here grew all of
the food used to feed the inmates and even for the local schools.The prison
turned a profit every year thereby paying for itself. But that was
considered old school so now we have a system where the inmates are free to
do what ever tickles their fancy all day. Now the prisoners turn a profit
with lawsuits against the county if they get bored or feel mistreated. No
kidding.... Gotta laugh to keep from cry-n.....

it comes down to the simple fact that it openes the door to arrest and
enslave workers instead of hiring them ,.. pretty clear cut issue , and
featured in many stereo typical old movies of farm plantation abuses in the
south by wardens on the take , skimming their prisoners labor in back deals
ect. plates on cars or whatever is one thing ,..this is somethign else, and
will more educated and skilled people be framed to fill work possitions on
high tech stuff for free etc.

Disapointed, CNN is building the LIES to attack Libya, blow up the oil
infrastructure and kill many innocent libyans. dejavu Iraq! I thought you

World trade Center Seven? Seriously? LOL 10 floors of the thing were
destroyed on the south side facing the world trade center... THEN it burned
for seven hours straight, fueled by the diesel fuel from the building's
diesel generator's storage tanks. There was no water for the sprinkler
systems to function thanks to that little building that collapsed and fell
on its south side, you know, the one that took out 10 floors : ) Sheesh,
tin foil hats for everybody!

I think prisoners should be made to labor, producing things ONLY for within
the prison system. That way, private contractors cannot profit off them,
common man does not have to compete with slave labor, and common man does
not have to provide for inmates. Let inmates work field and grow their own
food. Let them grow cotton for their striped uniforms that they mfr on
prison machines. Maybe they be too tired to shank each other after a long
day of work.

I have to agree about what he said on the government using prisoners to
build things for profit...But at the same time How much do we pay to keep
those people in jail each day?...And then again...if you can get people to
work for that cheap due to them being in prison....why not put more people
in there....? Scary thoughts. As far as the reasons for pushing in to this
other countries....MONEY BABY.... Follow the money trail and you'll find
the truth

@Remax5535 Well, we are screwed no matter what. He will however set a
course that will set the country up for rapid and successful recovery. He
also will push for Liberty in a time when most president's will be likely
to enact Martial Law. It never made sense to me why a President would want
to enforce a legal standing that invalidates their office, but some of them
think they can get away with it. I'm talking about Martial Law there.

Man! I'm running a D20 modern game (sort of like D&D only placed in the
modern world). I had to figure the taxes on their incomes for their
starting occupations & it gave me a mildly sick feeling when I saw how much
people pay when they make even a little more than I do in the real world.
One of the group started out as a medical doctor with 100k in student loan
debt and he pays about 32 percent (fed plus social security) of his income
in taxes. Then he gets to pay another 9 percent to spend it!

I don't agree that the U.S. government creates terrorist attacks actively.
One hundred years of invasive U.S. foreign policy plus the desire of
religious extremists and despots to protect their rule from the
Americanized Western culture that we actively export causes terrorist
attacks. I do agree that we should never go to war unless we are willing to
quickly end it and have a realistic exit strategy like nuke and go. War
shouldn't be a political game, and it should not cost the "winner".

New York is going to downsize its payroll and fire some people? Sweet! Of
course they'll probably fire people who actually do things and not
"administrators" whose secretaries could probably do their jobs. The Bush
tax cuts help every person who pays taxes. It created the 10% bracket. If
those cuts expire, 10%'ers will pay 15%. That's a 50% tax increase! Good
thing Owebama and the Democrats are for "the little people." Yah. Everyone
who pays income tax got a cut thanks to Bush.

not only do they spend UR dollars to pay for the war, they'r paying YOU to
kill each OTHER ,by staging fake military action, then the international
oil companies steal the oil and the americans do not show any profit,
except for the fake-pumped standart of living that's being created by the

@asymthought There is not/has never been a governing body on this planet
which did not struggle for dominance over other peoples. It's not a racial
or ethnic thing. It's a human thing. It has always been a circle, and
humankind hasn't progressed far enough to break that circle today. If the
U.S. did not engage in covert operations, the U.S. wouldn't exist today
because we would have been invaded and conquered. The same can be said for
every other country on the planet.

1/8oz of Calcium Hypochlorite makes one gallon of bleach. 8 drops or one
tsp. (teaspoon) of bleach (use non scented, pure bleach) sanitizes one
quart of water. Let stand for 30 minutes. One pound (16oz.) of calcium
hypochlorite should make 128 gallons of bleach. 1 gallon of bleach (4000ml)
at 5ml/quart should treat 200 gallons of water, therefore 1 pound of
calcium hypochlorite should treat 25,600 gallons of water. Costs $5 per
pound at INYOpools.

@MamaOkie Come on, I got to believe the Stock market is more responsive
than a conspiracy like you have alleged. I pulled all of my money in 2005
and am very happy about it, I watch it as a spectator now. I tend to
believe its more about inflation of stock than a conspiracy, but I am
bewildered. I also believe people have 401k on Autopilot so that money buys
stock regardless of the price. In that case its a bubble.

Could have put this "war" money into alternative energy which is going to
be needed very soon as we will becoming off of the oil production plateau
in several years. After that production will be dropping as demand for it
will be increasing. It takes decades to implement new infrastructures on
this scale. Dittos about the tax cuts and fair taxes.

The Chinese just build a pipeline to a country and worry about the oil
contract details when its made. They now have oil without enemies and
probably cheaper. I think America will be the 1st to default now. Europe
has realised its problems. Obama just won't stop spending, and it looks
like another round of printing is coming soon.
