It only seems cheap and overpriced because it's old. All of these new cars seem great, give it a few years, and you realize it's dated/antiquated. For example, the Nissan Rogue- ugly, and cheap plastics everywhere- on an originally 2008 (but still sold in 2013) model. Compare it to a 2012 release model Hyundai Sante Fe, it's nice, has many things standard, and there are no hard plastics. Times change, which make $30,000 cars look like $>10,000 cars.

I find it hard to believe that a bunch of guys with professional camera (looks like a Nikon DSLR with what the guy was holding at the end) will randomly drive around to randomly find this car and take pictures of it. Also, didn't it look like the new Highlander was going to make a U turn at the light right at the end of the video? Great publicity Toyota!

I have the 2006 version of the hybrid AND IT SUCKS A LOT!!! TOO many cheap plastics and its overpriced for what you get... And the mileage isn't great like they say it is! The best part is how uncomfortable it is for a 55k suv you get leg cramps if you drive for about an hour..Get the Lexus version if you are looking for a hybrid suv.

I love the New Design Looks Really Good Inside! Highlander is NOT a BAD Quality Its Pretty good and Not Bad. My dad owns a 2006 Highlander. And now its Running about over 90,000 miles and Still Great car. My Dad Loves it. But Just 1 Problem that Its Low Mielage But for the Hybrid is 27 So Not bad

I hate this redesign it looks so ambiguous now, very similar to the new Pathfinder and I hate the way the didn't carry the lower black plastic cladding between the wheels makes the profile looks chunky and wrong. The d pillar looks just like the mdx's

The only grudge I have is that the new model looks too much like a van instead of an SUV from the back diagonal view in the 29 second mark. Might be due to the increased length of the car. I don't know. Overall I like the look though.

Toyota decided to follow Nissan and Mazda how the next generations should be. If this kind of vehicle appeared 15 years ago, hardly any car enthusiasts will have called it crossover or sort, just minivan with conventional door.

You guys are good, that black tape over the badges on the grill and tail gate fooled me. If that is the best camouflage they can come up with maybe they shouldn't bother even trying.

Which model Honda are u referring to in the front? I don't see it. Australia doesn't have some of the Honda models like you do in the US though like the Pilot. So I haven't seen.

The old Highlander hybrid got 28mpg which is unimpressive. I would rather have the 7-seat variant of the Prius V (44mpg) .

The rear lights readily brought back to mind the Subaru Tribeca 2009, but not the hideous Tribeca Edsel front of 2009.

Looks way nicer than the Tribeca... I admit though the front kind of looks like the subarus.
