Nice review for a non-review! Thank you Dave , the master of brews. No joke
intended, you Sir know brew unlike any other in video format. This is the
first time trying this brew, and it is a very decent, drinkable wheat beer.
After further introspection (and the 6 pack), I've come to the conclusion
this is an A beer. It is nearly full-bodied, yet a light beer on the palate
with its low ABV and high carbonation, and nice balance of malts and hops.
Where else do people get Alchemy and Willamette hops except maybe Deschutes
or Red Hook. This is an extremely fine American representation of a
Hefeweisen. It may not have as high ABV as some at a drinkable 4.9%, but at
26 IBU, it has a nice array of Oregon grown hops, and the drinkability of
this is like clean water. Awesome brew! Ratebeer fails, yet again, as usual
on lagers, and wheat beers. ps, Pigmine's doppleganger in brew sampling,
diversity and palate in brew is Dave in Cleveland! Maybe Cleveland gets as
good of brew as San Angelo, TX!
+PigMine 2 Shit dude, this video is so old, thanks for watching! Don't know what I said on this review, but I have tried this several times on tap and it is very good indeed...cheers!
I grew up in PA, but have worked at Rider University for about 10 years.
I'm in the Trenton area. Where in NJ did you grow up? I absolutely love it
here.
I can't say that one comes to mind at the moment. Ommegang has some
fantastic Belgian styles, so I can get my wheaty fix, but great hefe's seem
to come from across the pond. Thanks for the backup!
just bought a sixer... can't wait to try! ...your dog is awesome! peace
