The Untied States of America... It's made up of 50 states, but Washington D.C. isn't one of them, despite deciding the fate of the rest of the country. It is also a ...
This report is a bit simplistic. Washington politicians not unusually grew
up in "Real America" & began their careers in local politics. They're in
Washington because people in "Real America" voted them there. Washington
politicians aren't any more disconnected from "Real America" than they ever
were. They're just politicians acting like politicians have always acted.
If you want to see an elite truly disconnected from "Real America", check
out the lives of CEOs of transnational corporations.
Afterall, corporations are the real power that influences Washington
politics and usually causes even the best of politicians to become
corrupted. The reason politicians become disconnected is because they know
they will become massively wealthy if they play the corporations game
because the corporations will hire them as lobbyists after they leave
Washington. Get corporate influence out of Washington and you'll suddenly
see politicians who are in touch with "Real America".
5:43 wrong! Not all the law comes from one place. there are federal laws
and states laws. There is limitation of power in what federal can do and
what state government can do. Gosh, I love RT.
If you look into it, you will find that DC also has some of the highest
crime and poverty rates in the country, and one of the worst public school
systems....think it's a conincidence?
