I'm reading my 4th book about Ernest Hemingway. Not what Hemingway wrote, but what other people wrote about him! I've been to the city of love and lights ...
Beautiful slide show. I am a little amazed at how much money a "freelance"
writer could make back in those days. I am a lot amazed that H. could write
in a cafe as he did in Paris, blows my mind. Been doing it all wrong these
many years thinking I needed privacy, which, since my husband retired, I do
not have. I don't think H could forgive Hadley for losing (destroying?) his
manuscripts. It is an unsloved mystery. H had a tremendous appetite for
life and a fascination with death.
