You have to realize that there are people out there who don't want to use third party sites and you can't buy gold right now I guess and they don't have much time nor don't want/cant check the AH and look for what the right price is and these people usually have the money to spend and even 250 is peanuts for them, I mean seriously they can wipe their asses with 250 each time. And these people will buy that stuff for that price, it's cheaper for them this way if they earn like 2k+ an hour or more

Personally I can find no justification for spending 250$ on a single item in a game which will die in a few months and when the expansion is out guess what so much for that what 1500$ spent on your gear set. Would you rather have 5 different games (250$) or 1 piece of gear that you could get lucky and replace in a day. For the kids that can buy this stuff they will regret it because no kids wants to sit around farming all day, adults do because how many people make 250$ per day. Just my opinion.

I disagree with your reasoning for weapons depreciating the most. Currently the demand for weapons is tunneled into 3 very specific properties; Damage, Damage% and IAS. Most weapons are either salvaged or vendored due to not having one of these properties or having them in small amounts, resulting in low dps, whereas armor can come in many useful variations. This leaves weapons with 3 more spots, most desirably a socket LoH and primary stats. End game armor will show up more frequently than weps

What you do with your own money is your own business. You can't come here and tell people what to spend their money on. Sure it might not be wise, but there are people out there with shit tons of money, that doesn't know what to do with their money. Some buy super cars, some buy really big houses, some help the poor and some like to take a risk and do some investing. While others like to buy things just to buy them and use them. 250$ is nothing for some people.

I actually made a correction annotation, the minimum for a 100k is actually 25c with $1.25 being the minimum single transaction. For a better idea of gold prices (until gold comes online and we know for sure) gold sellers are currently pricing at around $8 per million. This value should be a good benchmark for valuing your items/purchases today. Keep in mind this is going to crash down over the next week. I expect no more than a few $ per million.

Lower level gear and mediocre gear is becoming increasingly difficult to sell on the RMAH. Your best bet is to pick a niche - say a particular item type with a particular high demand stat and learn as much about that niche market as you can. Then spend 50-100k on the gold AH to buy a good piece of gear in that niche and price it reasonably on the RMAH. You can trade lvl 60 gear as a low level char, it will just be a bit slower getting started.

This is always going to be the case that the gold sellers will undercut the RMAH rates. I don't think a bottom limit on gold value is a good idea at all for that exact reason. Let the economy take gold down to $1-4 per million and the gold sellers will be less competitive except for in massive purchases of gold. They need to just have the minimum sale be $1 and have people decide how much gold that is whether it is 100k or 10million.

You can't make real real money here unless you have a certian type of cell phone. You have to have a contract phone to accept sms texts. I sell on the auction house and no one buys anything for real money. I can't use paypal but only my battlenet. I enjoy the auction house but i want to be able to use paypal without having to have a contract phone. I have a boost mobile phone that can accept sms texts why isn't that good enough?

I've made about 55US off 2m worth of items, which I know isn't much now, but in the long run is probably a 10x profit. (2 Garbage set items @11.50 and my 1200 dps staff @35.50). Looking forward to buying 17-19m Gold from that and gearing out my character with super-deflated I63's. Or I could even cash it out, net profit since I didn't actually spend anything getting the game (pass)

Gold prices are now around $5 per million. The highest gold farming rates are something like 400k an hour. You can strike it lucky with a perfect drop and make a quick $200+ but this is extremely rare. You are not going to earn a living but there is a potential to make a few dollars doing something you love. Play it for the love of the game and treat any $ as a bonus!

In truth gold values will drop a lot more, they are artificially being held high by the $1.25 per 100k minimum that blizzard has set. If they remove that (which they should to be competitive) then gold prices will be a few dollars. But yeah, people have no idea what they should eb selling at the moment. There may be a few good deals but most will be terrible value.

Good points though I still think pure DPS weapons will depreciate because the average DPS people are using will increase. You mention life on hit, thats a good example of something that won't depreciate as badly. A good one to keep an eye on is life steal... I see big things in store of life steal % weapons as people's damage output increase.

Hey, have you considered "D3 MaxOut Turbo" (google it)? There you can watch a nice free video showing the best way to speed run Diablo 3. This helped Danny to speed level in Diablo 3 and thus max out his character very fast. It might work for you too.

I have a no contract phone myself through boost mobile. I pay $50 for unlimited text,talk etc. I do this so I can recieve unlimted sms texts! Why does it have to be a contract phone; many people are moving away from contract phones. Do they have a special deal with the contract cell phone companies. I may talk to my sister and see if I can use her cell phone but the only problem is she can't always call or text me everytime with the code. I am on hold with tech support so we'll see.

Hey, i dont have a credit card either, but you can just link your debit card from your bank to a paypal account transfer money to your paypal from your bank(takes about a week without a credit card) and then from there get an authenticator or mobile authenticator(works great and is free) link it to your account, and just add funds to your battle.net balance using your paypal. abit time consuming but hey... it works.. gl dude.

@tobbetobbebobbob you can't take the fund that are already on your battlenet account and put them on PayPal. You have to link the PayPal account to battlenet and then choose the Paypal payment method before doing an auction on diablo 3. You don't need a credit card to do this, just go to the main account management page and select the protect sms option. PayPal requires this security option to use without a credit card.

if you have yur paypal connected to yur battle.net account via account setting/payment options. and the sms alerts enabled. you should be able to go to the RMAH and post something, and hit the dropdown arrow and have it send it to your paypal if it sells

Uninstalling Diablo 3 wont bankrupt blizzard because its not a subscription based game like World of Warcraft. It takes like 5 minutes to make a paypal account and have your debit card / bank account linked to it.
