DC systems rarely run more than 48V. It's just a trade off of volts for amps. In the case of the condenser, I would bet between 5-24 V, depending on use. On buses or refrigeration trucks, it's 24 V.

Being an electro-nerd,everytime I see "HVAC" it translates to "High Voltage Alternating Current" in my brain. I dunno what all this heating and ventilation crap is. :-p

You typically see 48vdc max, mainly because the agreed upon highest safe dc voltage is 60v, without requiring severely strict protection measures.

I bet it doesn't help hearing that buzz during the video. It is just like the buzz you hear on those High Voltage power lines.

I beleave its 110 or 220... well duh. but yeah. I think they even run off of the same circuit as the room.

Your right. I actually read his DC as AC(as in Air Conditioning).

Wonder how many volts those DC systems run on?

I didn't know Chip Foose taught at Rosedale.
