My 62 will be done in 1 week. Got a Barry Grant Demon 650 donated to me. I
also got a new sending unit, tank remounted, fuel filter, 3 inch air
cleaner (chrome housing), new starter, new plugs, new coil, new cables, new
starter solenoid and possibly new engine wiring harness that may be ordered
this week. It is 70 degrees here and my ass is itching to cruise. beware of
what carb you have under that air cleaner. If it is an Autolite 4100V then
get is rebuilt and sell that Holley.
@woodlandcammo27 very nice! Good to see yours is gettin there, I've already
had my car out for about a week and she's running well. I'd like to get a
new tank and sending unit, I've done the rest of the work you did 2 years
ago less the wiring harness, where are you getting yours? My re-wiring is
sufficed to say half-assed just so it would work lol
Hey dude.I am a friend of hannah and I have a 63 fairlane.I noted your rad
problem and Id go to canadian tire, buy a product called bar's leaks liquid
aluminum. It works wonders and is worth the $10,I know when my rad sprung a
leak thats what i did
@Ebaum744 Dearborne Classics has them. $75 U.S. Federal Reserve notes. The
harness is the one that goes to engine and starting componets like
solenoid, coil, water temp. It is the harness that is the top 6pin firewall
plug.
@1957thunderbird312 Hey thanks for the tip but personally I'd rather swap
out rads, when it heats up it pisses out big time if its overfilled. I get
my rad parts from Gem Rad just off lag on speers road.
