Vlog #68- Struggling With Post-Christmas Depression (1/4-1/13/2016)
Sorry I haven't uploaded in a while, guys. I've really been struggling with my depression, especially now that the Christmas-season is over. I am very much all ...
Nikki, so proud of you for basically teaching yourself how to crochet. Try
putting a band-aid on your finger. That girl hasn't contacted me to teach
me so maybe you and I could skype one day. I really need to get this
blanket started and I cannot follow these basic videos
+ThatsSoSarah I have only learned the most basic crochet stitch, and am doing it over and over again. That sucks that your friend kinda backed out on us; I was looking forward to learning that pattern!
Hey girlie, I was so excited to see a video from you. I'm so sorry that you
are struggling a bit after the holidays; I'm a Christmas time baby so I
LOVE the holidays too and am already get psyched for Christmas 2016, it's
coming ;) One thought I had that could help you is to be mindful of the
foods you're eating and how they effect you. I'm in no way trying to say
that you shouldn't eat what you want! That said, natural and unprocessed
food (like the din you had at the end of the vlog )is so good for you:
mind, body, and soul! You seemed really happy at the end as well which
could have been, even if only in small part, from that. Highly processed
and sugary foods wreck havoc on our entire bodies and cause us to have
chemical spikes which in turn lead to emotional spikes. For ex: the coffees
you have might be causing huge upsets because A) caffeine passes the brain
barrier B) the added sugar gives you a rush - Anyway feel free to ignore if
you don't think this will help, best wishes!
+dxgirly I can understand that. It's good that you know these things about yourself and are careful to not change anything to fast. It was just a thought I had when watching the last video that I wanted to pass on. Being healthy is multi-faceted obviously, and it seems like right now it's better for you to focus on mental health. I wish you the best in that!
+Brittg1rlL I'm sure what I'm eating and drinking influences it a bit. In a perfect world I would eat healthier, but as it stands, food is one of my only coping mechanisms, so I'm willing to sacrifice it at the moment. I know that sounds awful, but it's true.... and I've found that when I try to restrict or change what I'm eating to a large extent, I fly completely off the handle and do things I regret. I dunno, it's so hard to explain. I have a twisted relationship with food. :\
Yay! You're vlogging. Good for you. It hurts to see you in so much
emotional pain but I'm glad your therapy went well. Thanks also for
watching my silly vids. Tell Rob I said to give you extra hugs and kisses:)
You guys have a good weekend and tell Rob again I hope his mouth feels
better cuz I totally know what that feels like.
Continued... I've been known to place bandages on my fingers to prevent
blisters and yarn burn too, so maybe try a bandage to protect your skin!!
Anyway, that German box looks amazing and I can't wait to see the tasting!!
Take care girly girl, hang in there and give all the kitties pets for me!!
Love ya!!

5 Tips to Help Decrease Anxiety During Christmas
Christmas and Anxiety go together like Christmas and Anxiety. The holidays can bring us a lot of joy but also a lot of memories, emotions and negative thoughts.
Great tips. But the two I would say is remember why we celebrate Christmas?
JESUS CHRIST. Another is to do something to help others, Feed homeless,
Visit a nursing home. Peace
+Dolly244 Exactly!! Christmas is to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. Not to open gifts. The whole reason we have Christmas as a holiday is to celebrate Jesus' birth.
Most of us watching these vids celebrate Christmas. Even if you don't, the
holidays can bring anxiety to our lives. I hope these 5 tips can change
your perspective a bit so you can sit back, relax, and enjoy :)
Tim Keller sermons via Gospel in Life: A lot of us are cast down because we don't expect the attacks on our peace and joy that are inevitable. Much of the ...
Outstanding, many thanks. Once you begin to love God, his enemies become
your enemies. Never thought about it that way but he's right. Give us the
strength Lord to withstand their attacks and to love our enemies
Thank you Tim for this encouraging message. I love the fact that the fruit
of the Spirit is a whole, not fruits individually. Learning to expect
frustrations, turmoil and conflict is key to my Christian walk.

Vlog 8: California Guy - Feelings of depression and regret over past drug use
In this video blog I discuss my plans for the day in America. Have coffee, drink lots of water, get my flat tire fixed, and go to work. Once at work as a caregiver I ...
I think if you are a very decent and brave person for not only putting your
problems and worries out there but for recognising the things you have
maybe done wrong. So maybe you have used drugs, and you feel bad for messing
with your brain but think of the good that has come from it.You have given
something up that is so powerful on your body, to quit drugs is a major
accomplishment so if you feel bad about getting only a C in your class then
think about the A you got from determination. I hope
i know you put this up a while ago but i think pretty much everyone goes
through a low point in their lifes so you shouldnt feel that bad. you
should look at all the good things you have, and life is highs and lows, so
its normally during the lows you learn good lessons about yourself.
exercise is brilliant for depression, cause it releases endorphins plus
even on days where you dont do much, going for a run makes it feel like
your working towards something . it makes you feel good.
*I hope are able to cope with your depression, and that you see all the
good in your life, like your health and your friends and family. Try do
something creative and constructive to keep your mind off worries because
it's your brain that has the effect over you.I hope this helps and that you
find the positive in life. ~Don't Look Back And Say Why? Look Ahead And Say
Why Not?:))
