It's so frustrating, I was 12 when they were playing this. I first heard techno at a friend's house when I smoked a spliff with his cool older lodgers at age 14 - got high for the first time listening to wicked techno. I looked for that shit in music shops up and down the land, but had no port of call for names other than magazines like Mixmag, which were a bit crap to be honest and mainly focussed on trance and indie, or some bollocks with Pete Tong and Judge Jules. Now the internet was borned, and Youtube helpfully links similar items for you so a simple search for one artist can become a voyage of discovery for a whole new genre you never knew existed. *sigh* what could have been..
