Ok well all this guys methods. Simply, dont work. Apple doesnt only use a flashlight anymore. I put white nail polish in my iphone 3gs, the thought it wasnt water damaged above but saw the bottom. He went in the back to see how much water damage it had. He knew cuss the phone turned on but with a white screen and gray lines. He came back and tolld me the phone had severe water damaged but saw how depressed and I was simply gave me a new one. Free. DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS GUY, THEY LOOK in UR fone

I must be the luckiest person in the world right now because today i dropped my touch in my hottub, and it was completely under for about 5 secounds. I took it out and was stupid and turned it on which then fried it. Anyways i just shined a flashlight down the headphone jack and the sensor is somehow still white!!! =D plus i got 3 months of warranty left so im going to go exchange it monday!

@SIMS3FANATIC1 OK..now im like the luckiest apple user alive!! ive had my ipod sitting in a bag of rice for over a week now, and i just went over and turned it on and it actually worked! theres no side effects or anything, it works perfectly =D...its crazy since it was under water for 5 secs, and i turned it on right after i grabbed it outta the water. And another 4 or 5 times after haha.

mine went through the washing machine, any suggestions, maybe the alcohol one? i put it in rice first and now all of the wet spots on the screen are gone and then i tried the paper method ad nothing happened. the screen is just white when i put it on the charger (btw its the original iphone)

Heyyy i have an Ipod Touch and a dropped it in water bout 9 months ago and there wasnt that much water that got in so would these methods work if i tryied them?? but am a bit scared if it blows up in my hand or face ? Help! please LoL

Water spilled on my iPod so it kinda froze then it started working but it didn't have sound so I left it alone for a day and now it works! I'm surprised because my iPod was 3 gen and it still worked even thoe It has sooo many sensors

Ok, i went for a swim in salt water. ipod was not to bad, just couldnt play music out loud. So i turned it off and left it to dry out.... Never turned on since..its been 3 or 4 months:( can anyone help? or am i completely fucked?

guys my ipod touch fell into my bathroom sink which was full of water. The screen has turned into white and it doesnt turn on. Any suggerstion what shall i do? it will be really helpful. Thank you very much i would appreciate.

@Eddclerk dude he knew it was water damaged the screen turned on , there was no water inside the screen, with the iphone off it looked perfect , trust me you cant fool apple, they don't just use a flashlight anymore

my ipod will not turn on WTF it had the white screen and i let the battery de out so i dont know where to check for the water damage and idk what to do should i take it to bestbuy and get my warranty to use?

@AwesomeHackTutorials mine went down the washer 3 days ago. And it was in there for about 5 min and when u found out it was in there, I got it out and looked down the headphone jack and it's still white! :P

Hi I have an iphone that I dropped and the screen shattered worked fine but then it fell in a pool now its extremely dark almost black. Is it to late to fix? I don't have an apple store around me

dude im pretty sure its been water damaged, but looks like the water sensor is like white, but with like orange lights on each side of the white square im not sure what happened

Guess What..... RICE IS NOT ABSORBANT. Everyone says to put electronics in rice to dry them out. But HOW can it absorb water if rice is hard!

rubbing alcohol CLEANS the screen????! It actually wrecks the screen and stays inside of it, it does however clean the motherboard though.
