Werkt het ook met een box van upc? En wat is het verschillen tussen 2 en 5 ghz?

Jazeker, deze range extender werkt met elke internet aansluiting. Het verschil tussen 2ghz en 5ghz is de uitzend frequentie. Het meeste wordt er op 2ghz uitgezonden, als je provider ook op 5ghz uitzend kan dit resulteren in hogere internetsnelheden.

De ethernetpoort is om een PC aan te sluiten, dit noem je de wireless bridge fuctie.

I still don't understand how you get the dual band to work. Right now the only option I have is for 2.4ghz and when I select 5ghz it can't connect to my router. My router is supposed to be dual band, but it's from talktalk so it's prolly a lie.

+PVTfluffy I did. Still no luck. It showed up a couple of times but right now it's nowhere to be seen.  TalkTalk modems are the suck.

you have to enable 5g in the router settings.

Before I installed the current W7 version, I ran the computer in a dual boot Ubuntu Linux-Windows 7 config. I had the same problems under Ubuntu... So I tried a new Windows 7 install. I did try out several driver versions. Memtested the ram, HDtuned the hard drive. GPU-Z has trouble to read the graphics chip... to be continued. I can't afford to buy a replacement one!

Yes, true. Although when I searched for the motherboard I only found an exporting factory in China. I did not go that far... I'm typing this on a new 300 euro el-cheapo Packard Bell. Cheaper then a repair.

No, the Intel i7 rests in a socket and is removable. The GT 425M Nvidia graphics processor is soldered to the mainboard and is not removable... and that is the faulty chip....

You still can replace the motherboard off course (costs 400$).

Also for pcie 1x functionality you have to go into BIOS>Advanced settings>Advanced tab now look for pcie (black) 4x change to 1x or auto. This is for the bios on asus z87 sabertooth, should work with all asus boards with uefi
