@farmerwright they use a plow in the front, and a sweeper in the middle and then a blower just behind that to clear, sweep and blow the runway dry, using 8-9 machines simultaniously in formation, clears the runway in one sweep. as the machinery travells fast it can be done in between movements on the runway , someone said it takes about 8 minutes for a sweep. I just read that this airport has never closed due to bad weather, how? Some impressive machinery there, can anyone tell me what those long machines are doing? Obviously they re ploughing but what else? I do private gritting work here in uk and we do a good job, but no one really seems to be prepared to spend the money on doing the job properly here, whether it be public or private business! I just dont think we budget for it here!

To the person who asked what the snow-clearing group is/was called: At some airports here in the US it's called the 'Conga Line', (possibly because of the way it swings back and forth across the runways and taxiways like the old conga dance line...?). Hope that helps some. Doesn't really matter what it's called, it's just plain impressive and a hard job done by dedicated crews!

@Jefftrigwell2 :) Tackar är från golvplanet på sky city mellan terminal 4 och 5 :) dock är det inte jag som filmat utan lånade ut en av mina kameror till bekanta som skulle till stockholm ;) med ett krav att om dom såg någon maskin så skulle det dokumenteras :D och det gav då resultat med råge :D :D

@MrFatbob79 Kul att höra och strongt gjort är ju mycket om snöoväder mm på TVn nu men man får sällan se snöröjare :( men det är en av anledningar till varför jag försöker filma snöröjning för ni ska ju ha stor heder för det jobb ni alla utför :) Lycka till och ha det bra :)

@LaXMagra Tackar japp jag tyckte det med snart kanske man har täckt in alla typer av snöröjning :D sök på Broddway TJS-c 560 så hittar du mer om dom maskinerna fronten är ju från Volvo A25D och A25E :)
