Hey, what's going on party people! We have a brand new video for you today, just taking you along with us to Best Buy as we try and fix Eva's radio, then after we ...
Hey Groutaone, would using a felt wheel to buff it work aswel? i just
bought 2 of them and realised you were using something different, wondering
if they would still be good to use :)
Cheers
Matt
I don't remember price but you should be able to find it on Ebay
Buell 1125CR FMF Apex pipe 0-160 mph
Just a quick jaunt to 160 on my '09 1125CR in the back roads of Boone County, IA during harvest season. GoPro HD Hero2 camera suction-cup mounted to the ...
I haven't. Although at this point all it has is exhaust. I'm finally getting an EBR ECU on it soon and will do the intake mod, also want to do a little something to the radiator pods, but there's nothing too crazy with it.
I got a XB9SX and the XB12R.. love 'em, pure FUN in-town.. thinking about
getting the CR too but I have had a few guys telling me that they are
electrical nightmares.. is it true?
There was a recall for the charging system that was related to heat, but they fixed that with a software update. AFAIK that's the only thing that could be considered an "electrical nightmare" compared to any other Buell, as they're all fuel injected anyway. If anything I'd expect more long-term electrical reliability from an 1125, as they suffer a crap ton less vibration.
The bike is an absolute blast. About the size and weight of a 600, performance of a 750, and the most beautiful exhaust note ever. I haven't had any problems with it, but there was a factory recall on the stator. If you are looking at a specific bike, a Harley dealer can look up if the recall was done with the VIN.
+Ski Bum Nobody in the history of racing has observed engines making more power at higher altitude, but it's generally accepted that when short shifting and not going WOT, engines make less power (just a theory, bear with me).Why "do" I short shift the first three gears and not go WOT? That would assume that this video is representative of my entire riding style in every instance. I didn't this time because I'm on county road E26, and up to 100 mph I'm just getting comfortable on the controls. In fact, you can see an odd drop in rpm in about 3rd gear where I adjusted my grip. Although I generally don't ever go WOT in 1st or 2nd gear, as it is impossible to keep the front tire down then, even leaned fully forward on the CR's aggressive clubman bars.As for why it doesn't pull hard to 160, it's because it's nearly topped out (actual top speed is about 165). As a general rule, if any vehicle pulls hard to redline in top gear, it is geared too short. Eric Buell did a pretty good job of picking final drive ratios, with the 1125CR geared to redline at 165, and the more aerodynamic 1125R geared to about redline about 177.
+Adam Witthauer Sorry for the confusion. Thanks for posting this video. It was rather educational. I watched your video to determine how a CR performs at low altitude. My gut feeling is that your bike accelerates slower at low altitude than mine does at 10,000 feet (10.5 psi of air pressure and a 25% drop in output).I did not mean that 160 mph is "lifeless". I was referring to your engine's lack of power when it's wound up. I suppose my question is "why do you short shift 1st through 3rd?" My optimum shift point is around 10 to 10.5k. Is it just habit? Does the bike wheelie? I also was suggesting that your bike doesn't run well at high engine rpm's. It's most likely a poor map in your ecu. I got to compare a stock bike to mine and it's a big difference with a tuned ecu, exhaust and k&n filter.
Yes, I did short shift the first three gears...not sure if you had a point behind that, but this is county road E-26, not Isle of Man. A tuned ECU is in the works, but I don't expect much top end out of that, especially since it's basically out of rpms at 165 anyway. Just had to lol at the idea of a naked bike being referred to as "lifeless" at 160 mph. Trust me, there is nothing lifeless about going 160 without a windshield. Tucking as low behind the gauges as you can, stabbing neck pain from wind loading on your helmet sets in at 165. And frankly the scenery is moving so fast at that point that there aren't many roads where it's not outright suicidal to attempt it on. It's a bit different than watching a video.Yes, there are bikes that go 200+. Yes, there are tracks where you can go 200+. That's not what this is.
Exhaust Welding
Setting up a small MIG welder for exhaust pipe welding.
Hate to break the news to you son, but us professionals do wear clear safety glasses under the hood, junior. Especially when stick or flux core welding because the slag can pop off while cooling and/or when chipping the slag off with the chipping hammer. Whadya new???
Any weld with Mig/Mag will penetrate less if you push it but very marginal difference, with thin metal like exhaust pipe always weld it incline & vertical down and this will help with reducing penetration.
So if you are welding the exhaust piping while its on the car how would you
weld the top of the pipe? I'm wanting to put a new exhaust on my car and I
know how to weld so there is no point in going to a professional, just
wondering how you would weld the top of the pipe while its so close to the
vehicle?
move around. I work in exhaust industry and you have to move around and sometimes weld where you can not see it takes way more skill than welding on the table I did that when I was learning as a 12 year old and just for a week. now after so many years you learn tricks

I go over the topic of getting myself a car. FOLLOW ME ON: www.facebook.com/DucatiGuyVlogging www.twitter.com/Ducati_Guy_vlog In this video: Camera ...
Good topic, I've just settled in Leeds, was in the Army and from Mid Wales
where I needed a car, but now i'm a civvy and Live in a city and have a
work van. The Mrs also has a car so i'm getting my car MOT'd next month
then its going I think.
Thanks for the share Gazza. I think another issue as well is suitable parking.Where I live there is no where for me to leave a car unless I fancy leaving it down a road which is off a road, by a road across from my road... Urgh. Haha
You've summed up all I wanted to say and more. The only times I've ever
wanted to use a car was moving house as well. Unfortunately, no one will
trust me with their personal belongings, so I lugged it all onto a train
about 6 times and that did the job. Otherwise, bike.
Onto a train? Sod that :\ Just not worth it for the few moments of rubbishy weather when it will be handy and or trafficking stuff/people/narcotics/arms
FINALLY A PROPER MOTO LOGGER NEAR ME HAHA!
Sound is fine mate, picture is good!!
I can meet ya up on the hill sometime maybe grab some tips from you. Also I
wanna check out ya sweet sweet Italian babe!
We talked before on Facebook I used to be called Biker-Brony XD
Can do that if you want matey, won't be the 1098s though as that is still in pieces and will be for a while hahahaha..ha * cries * Yeah I remember, before Facebook kicked me off :P
The age old debate of 2 stroke vs 4 stroke rages on. In this video, we focus on the off road/enduro riders needs. With so many folks drinking the 4 stroke "cool ...
Haha the comments of 4 stroke owners are so obvious in such a (bias) video!
Not everyone can afford to rebuild a 4 stroke when maintenance and rebuilds
are so cheap on a 2 stroke! It's literally a simple fact!
They are full of shit lol 2 stroke cost way more in the long run way more
rebuilds and yes parts are cheaper but it all adds up and if ur aggressive
rider like I I'm 50 hours tops in my opinion for 2 stroke before u blow it
up lol these guys make me laugh so hard
+Tyler M Fair enough. 125 two strokes need to be revved out all the time, so they wear out much faster. 250 and 300 2 strokes are a totally different animal. Glad you have a bike you enjoy. That's what it's all about. I own a 450 4 stroke and a 300 two stroke at the time I' writing this, so I know a bit about the topic :) Thanks for watching Tyler!
+Dirt Bike Channel I go long miles those roughly 1000 in 2 weeks 125s arnt good 2 stroke motors and I prefer 450 4 stroke way less maintenance more reliable and uses less gas and go longer distance I guess every rider has there own bike they prefer
+Tyler M You blow up your bikes after 50 hours? What bikes have you done that with? Just curious. I have put more than 100 hours on multiple top ends on my bikes with no issues. Let me know. We can have a civil dialog about it :)
+Dirt Bike Channel i have compared both i used to own a 2stroke 125cc kawasaki gto and now i have honda cg 125cc but kawasaki gto runs more fast than honda 125cc 4stroke
Your guess is a hit and miss, I do spend a little time on 2 strokes but I do get and feel the difference. I watched up to episode 5 where tides finally began to turn, but still its is still pretty bias. Don't get me wrong as a 4 stroke fanboy, 2 stroke are good, light, jump and kicks like a mule. But in my opinion its a fuel devouring machine as fuel constantly running which makes its stalls less easier than 4 strokes.(opinion on episode 3 or 4 I think)
grew up on 2 strokes. had bunch of 4 strokes. over 50 bikes n quads since
1980. I still quote 4 strokes suck 2 strokes truck . hate fixing 4 strokes.
way way way expensive to fix
