It's pretty sad when you hear the mother cheering her kid on in the
background encouraging her kid to fight.....the apple doesn't fall far from
the tree. I'm going to use the same mentally as this "mom" and say, "maybe
Sam hits like a girl and the other kid didn't want to hurt the princess"
Sucks to lose doesn’t it? Truth of the matter is some of these Blizzard
kids know nothing about playing "real hockey".
Unfortunately, that expectation was not met. I don't know what was being
said between players? and it doesn't matter. There is no excuse for that
type of behavior out of 12 and 13 year old boys. I am embarrassed to be a
part of that team and have my name listed as team manager. Also, thank you
for the pins for the players. That was very classy. Something we know
little about. Regards, Roxane Hagedorn’’
They need to be taught how to check properly along with being taught
sportsmanship and perhaps attend some anger management wouldn't hurt either
(parents included). Your not just representing yourself, but your
team/organization. It's too bad it only takes a few to ruin it for their
whole team.
Here is a direct comment from your very own as to how proud you should
really feel... "On behalf of myself and my son, we would like to apologize
for our team's boorish behavior on Sunday. I would expect coaches to have
better control of a team and parents to have raised their children better.
This was obviously brought on due to the rest of the game. You don't just
slew foot a guy along the boards for no reason, and the ref did nothing to
help this. My friend was kicked out of the game for this bullcrap and hey,
I've only seen this when Canada plays America
I don't understand how someone can go from talking about how bad other
parents are, but then just start yapping about other people's kids, how
they don't know anything about hockey? Practice what you preach. Thank you
This wasn't the only person that approached us from the other team, and I
want to thank them for that. We came out to play hockey, have fun and make
some friends.
