Hey man :) I can help you! Maybe you can help me later! :D First when you
download the two archives, you must extract them in a folder in C: drive :)
they must stay 4 files(incl the apk file) then you run cmd and type cd\ Hit
enter cd *the name of the folder you extracted and copied the files* then
it will be like mine C:\*the folder name*>and then you should text apktool
d *the name of the apk* That's it! Tell me did you make it! :)
I don't understand why we needed to build twice? Won't the new build
replace the old build? If so, then why not just extract meta-inf,
android-manifest and just build? Lol this vid 2 years old alr
EDIT:
I believe we built the first time so that the /build folder would be
generate with the files, after that we are getting the verification files
so that System will use that apk?
If you guys are on linux, I am putting together a really good kit. Skip all
the setup and path variables. Check it out.

Use any Carrier with HTC Rezound!
This tutorial shows you how to use GSM on the HTC Rezound. (UPDATED LINK)://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=9390275921635705421 HOW-TO ...
Bare with me okay? I am new at all this. What you explained is fairly
simple from what I was able to understand. Question is. My phone is already
GSM Unlocked, but I still have no Network access? ST Sim, and is set on GSM
mode. Not sure, if its normal, but nothing is coming up under Network
Operator. Either under Search Network or Select Automatically. Could this
be affecting it? Straight talk support sucks, and things are slow on my
post at droid Forums. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
Hi. I got an HTC Rezound Unlocked GSM Phone from ebay. I bought a SIM card
from Straight Talk, activated it and all, even got my new number, but I
can't even call. When I switch from Global to GSM it says I got a new
Voicemail, I was happy, but I am still unable to call or listen to the
Voicemail, and The icon for the network has an X (Hence no Network) I being
fooling around with it for the past 3 hours, and still can't figure it out.
Can you please help me? best you can? Ty much
Honestly, I haven't really tried it, But I do know that up until last year,
T Mobile was reconfiguring their towers so the Rezound does support the
850/1900 bands and at least 3G. The only step would be to configure the APN
settings. A quick google search will do the trick for the correct settings.
Now if that doesn't work, I'll release a video shortly about a custom rom,
that supports FULL GSM capability, and data should work then. Good Luck!
If I'm using T-Mobile on this phone, can I expect to get 4G LTE and if not,
who will I have to get Network with to get 4G LTE. All of my APN setting
are correct to my current provider but all I'm getting is Edge, also I
tryed force stopping my setup wizard and my lock screen is still showing
that annoying sim message, any other ways to turn that off.
i really really really need some help. i did all of that and nothing
happens. i dont know what to do i'm desperate i need this to work. placed
the whole renamed zip file. just copied and pasted after download to the sd
card. it seems that it does find it but it doesnt do anything at all. it
always says no image or wrong image on all. please help.
ok,i had relocked the bootloader, so the downloaded and put the zip file in
the sd folder, turn off fastboot, and power off the phone, when i try to go
to bootloader. It searched for the file, but when i selected fast boot, the
other part of what you said didnt happen and i still have the cdma or
cdma/lte setting.... help?!?!
I'm will bare with you. But my question is, have you done what was showed
in this video, make sure it shows that you are running this firmware in the
settings. IF yes, then put the straight talk sim in, and restart the phone
to see if you get signal then. Maybe even try another sim, this works fine,
I do it everyday
I've dropped the zip file on the sd card, placed the sd card into the
phone, booted the phone, turned fastboot off, powered off the phone, loaded
the boot menu, selected fastboot, and there is no option for volume up or
down meaning yes or no. Any ideas?
Don't delete everything verizon. I know the Bionic has been tried with GSm
but I know its risky since it required custom firmware and really cracking
down deep in the phone and flashing a GSM firmware. Looks like the easiest
way to get bricked!
I did put it on the external. I found a solution though. For anyone who
watches this and has the same problem, you may need to factory reset your
Rezound and then make sure to rename the zip file to only PH98IMG.
I tried to download the file you said to download and it told me that it
was an unsuccessful download.... i tried to download it ti the phone
itself..... but it wont let me do it..... i dont know what to do
I just moved overseas with my phone unlocked and get that Unknown Sim Error
but the phone won't let me remove any Verizon Bloatware - I have an HTC
resound. How did you delete all of it pls! Thx
hey just used your tutorial to help my friend flash the rezound to t mobile
and it worked but i was wondering if you have heard anything about getting
3g and or 4g on the phone with t mobile
