Skyrim Modding Tutorial - Merging mods with TES5Edit
This video was recorded during a live stream at //www.twitch.tv/plaguehush During the tutorial I cover the process of merging .esp files from Skyrim mods ...
I'm wondering... If I merge several mods with separate Mod Configuration
Menus (MCM), will that affect the Mod Configuration Menus of those mods
once they are merged?
Also, I'm a bit conserned of the load order. Let's say I have organized my
mods using LOOT, and decided to merge a number of mods that has various
places in the load order. Would that affect the stability of the game? And
what if I were to add a mod that LOOT would suggest moving somewhere
between some of the merged mods if they had not been merged?
I'd be very grateful for any helpful information and assistance in this
matter. :)
it depends where are the master esm/esp do a list of all your master esp/esm & slave esp and chose what mods you merge together and where do you put it in load order, and don't forget you can still use LOOT
+lionel villemagne Thank you, I figured it Would cause issues when merging mods with separate MCM menus. I'll just avoid that and stick to merging mods without them.As for the load order I guess a good idea would be to just place the merged mod packs somewhere in the top then?
+André Karneke If you merge several mod using MCM menus there will cause bug, they need to be in seperated esp or if you have the knowledge of modding you can make your own patch but it's not a good choice. For the load order it depends on the type of mods you use, if you use mods that just add weapons or food without using ressources from other mods it's fine, but if some of your mod requires for exemple: "weapon_ressources.esm" the merge patch need to be loaded after weapon_ressources.esm
While I appreciate this video and the efforts that went into making it, you
could probably have cut it down to a 5-10 minute video by cutting all the
unnecessary and redundant info, reading text out loud and mousewaving. :/
I mean, it takes 11 minutes before you get to the topic of the video, and
another 5 minutes on top of that before you begin the actual tutorial.
That said, thank you for the tutorial, even if it ended up being a bit
long-winded. :)
+Naima Ramiréz For you it might be long winded but for some of us it great to have somebody go over EVRYTHING instead of a speed read half baked miss thing out asume people know stuff tutorial
yes, for one, merging mods that are masters for other mods bring a ton of extra work, second, that idea is not realistic and doing so will probably not make your game more stable
If it say "All Done", does that mean there are no errors or are the lines
below errors? (the ones that start with "Quest", I copied a few more lines
just because)

am I mistaken or 1.9 only copies records as they are, meaning that if the
formID is the same it creates bugs
it is still good to merge mods that are intentionally created with
no-overlapping formIDs like combining the different esp. from the same
mod...
Now I copy weapons manually... and restore the structure of course..
Why Renumber conflicting IDs doesn't work?! can it be 'Batch copy
assets'/'Extract BSA' when there are none?!
I'm getting missing masters errors. But all of the files are in the patch
that have dependencies. I got it high in the load order and tried it last
too. All the mods in the patch are unchecked.
+TimboSlice083 it just happened to me too with TES5Edit... It failed to remove one the dependency for one of the source patches, but this you can easily do yourself... on the patch, you click on File header, then find the master that you don't need and on the 'Master file' field right-click and select 'Remove', close and leave the tick...
+TimboSlice083 Missing masters from what application? xEdit? NMM? MO? What are the masters of the merged plugin? You can view them in multiple applications including xEdit. This is something you can troubleshoot yourself! :)
+Greatriver Sorry, MO is required for certain features to work, but you can still make merges with NMM.

Skyrim Tutorial | How To Install Dovah Nakiin ENB
Installing Dovah Nakiin ENB [version OMEGA.fix] step by step - Following the Dovah Nakiin ENB Nexus page installation process section.
Very good explanations. I'm just using ENBseries right now, but will try
ENB preset later, if my computer can substain it. Do you think this ENB
preset would fit good with STEP Project 2.2.9.2 (which I'm using with its
300 mods)? Do you suggest "Natural Lighting and Atmospherics for ENB" to
run with it? Es-tu l'auteur de ce mod? PS: Je reconnais ton accent
québécois. :-)
+CHABAL Love it too it's from mustash flickr https://www.flickr.com/photos/134884636@N07Yes your video will really help lots of people. I'm working on update version right now hope I get enough time to complete it
+Machok Skyrim Thank Machok! I always get nice feedback from you. :) My longest and most detailed ENB tutorial so far. I'm proud of it. By the way, I love your picture of the nordic helmet on water for Dovah Nakiin ENB. :)
