@PSTRIPPLEE: Sorry for the late reply. I finished my masters last year and started a Ph.D. program in the same year. The program (Ph.D. in Nursing) I'm in is 3 years long so I only have 2 left (thank God). But yes, they do offer Ph.D. programs in Computer Science. Depending on what your masters degree was it it could take you anywhere from 2 to 4 years to complete a Ph.D. in Computer Science. Good luck in all of your future endeavors and God Bless!

Capella: where anyone willing to pay the cash gets the degree. I feel sorry for these people, who don't realize that no private sector employer will respect the Capella PhD; and if these people go to a "real" university and try to get a job with that PhD, the hiring committee will be rolling in the floor laughing. Maybe a community college will take it, but then, a community college will hire someone with a simple masters degree.

@miznatacha But dont you think going for a PHD is kind of a waste of a time? What are you going to achieve in future when you have a PHD? i no a teacher that has a PHD in science and his working in a college and still getting low pay. A degree is enough am tied of studying all i want is a degree and get a nice job that pays allot. R u working and if you are what you working as? What uni u study at to

@agenthelios1 Don't be a hater. Besides, I have it on good authority that one person with a Capella PhD landed a job driving a truck for UPS after working 8 years as a temp, and is making over $60,000 a year now. With that great wage, he will be able to pay off his student loan sometime in June, 2027.

@PSTRIPPLEE: Most PhD programs are 4 -5 years of full time study, depending upon the school and major. as for the Computer Science PhD, you should check the schools that you're interested in applying to.

Congratulations. Watching this keeps me so motivated. I'm in an MBA program right now but I do plan to get my PhD in Business. It's a lot of hard work but sooooo worth it in the long run. :)

For those negative folks what are YOU doing? sometimes its best to shut the h@@$, you may feel that way but do not knock anyone dream. But it just shows what kind of self esteem you hold

@babyshuf2 Good luck mate.. How many years does it take to get a P.H.D? Starting from degree? And does computing science offers p.h.d if you take ur work to the end of the limit
