+Enoch Glover oh i know the statistics. i know the staggeringly high proportion of the gay men community inflicted with STDs. however, unlike people like u, i also know how to read those numbers, and correctly understand what they imply. im glad u asked, and i will gladly teach.when u have a population filled with a certain disease that is highly transmittable, any newcomers to that population will have a high chance of contracting such disease. and so it is with the MSM (men who have sex with men) community. and so it is also with the african countries that are plagued by the AIDS epidemic. yet i dont see anyone proposing that people from those countries, gay or straight, should be disallowed to marry. therefore, this objection against gay marriage is invalid.lets look at it another way. say we have a homosexual population that is completely free from any STDs. any newcomers to this population would have a 0% chance of contracting any STDs, assuming theyre clean to begin with. and so, the population will continue to be free from STDs, no matter how much and how risky they have sex.now suppose that it is the heterosexual population that has staggeringly high amounts of STDs. would u call out for the ban on heterosexual marriages? would u condemn casual heterosexual activities? of course u would think, how would we reproduce? but lets ignore that because we can always have people procreate safely through medical sciences. so, now that the situations are reversed, would u have us ban hetero marriage? of course not.and so, u have contradicted urself (i assume). u dont really care about the STD statistics for gays, u just dont want gay people to marry, u just dont like gays.after u have read all this, u can no longer in good conscience continue to use this line of argument (STDs) against homosexuality and gay marriage.

The World Health Organization which was established in 1948 who monitors diseases all over the world never came across any African who's immune system was compromised until the middle 1980's. It was the latter 1970's when doctors in America noticed young white homosexuals coming down with some very new unusual symptoms and began to die very rapidly. That's why they called this new disease GRID (Gay Related Immuniodefiency Disease now called AIDS. The CDC did not find out about this problem until 1981 and went public with the information.
