This rec site used to be an awesome grove of towering fist growth forest back in the 80's until MacMillan Bloedel had their way with it... as they did with the rest of Van Isle - only a few micro-pockets of original forest remain now (as you well know)... which had to fought over 'tooth & nail' by dedicated environmentalists and First Nations activists --- what a shame it is to see our government pandering to the private interests ($$$) of off-shore investors for our natural resources :(
