You have no more air craft carriers left. You still dreaming you are attacking Libya or Iraq as they are doing now....to renew attack on Libya but scared of Russia in Syria.Go figure.

No way would of American soldiers even set one foot on Vietnamese land if the South did not want them there... After the war China wanted to set up a North Korean style dictatorship and the North Vietnamese kicked the Chinese out. Lucky they kicked out the Chinese aggressors because you would have 2 mad countries in the world now.. North Korean and Vietnam.. Vietnam is a communist state but it is not as brutal and bad as the Kim Jong UN regime. For an action there is always a reaction.My personal take is that, China is doing what she needs to do to DEFEND herself. Yes, China do have the Taiwan issue and problem. But Taiwan has always been part of China only diff is two different forces are controlling it.Do you see China attacking Taiwan or rather wants Taiwan to be integrated just like Hong Kong.So your take about world reacting on China taking Taiwan does not arise.In fact this is my personal take... If I say if, there is a war between USA and China and China faces and existential threat not because of the Taiwan issue , do you think Taiwan being Chinese themselves will fight along side America or China. That goes to Singapore too. Be my guest.China has not gone to war nor threaten ANY country since the Vietnam conflict which China's poorly armed peasants did badly hence the modernization. Do you think the Vietnamese are scared of China??  Do you think the rest of the world wants to see Chinese invading Taiwan??Do you think its ok for China to claim the Philippines west coastline. China is obviously trying to start a war that will bring many countries in , not just America...Russia sunk a Chinese trawler so why don't China attack Russia???That's because Russia is too strong....China only picks on smaller Asian countries...  China should just go to Japan with its fleet and take the Islands if they are not scared....just do it..But know this. US can only claim those near theirs nobody cares.If busy body wants to come into SEA ...it only will meet the resistance from China.
