When I drive in real life, I'm not looking at my car via a camera following me through mid air, so this view should have always been implemented in the first place as the word simulation is present, otherwise its just more of an arcade racer, GRID was fantastic and I purposely didn't play this game because of the lack of cockpit view....now tho....:). Great work to the modders on this, shame the steering wheel movements dont rotate truly in accordance with the amount of turn being applied like its predecessor though, stupid Codemasters, there's nothing that can beat the cockpit view for simulation, and sense of reality

+JReel17 I agree about the stat caps they suck, I had to make a new outside PG just to make a open three pointer. Plus SF speeds are horid I could name numerous great SF's that arent that slow in real life.

Your braking points are late and you have the RPMs too high around the hairpin turns. The handbrake is always there too. Grid 2 gives your cars bad handling and no grip anyway

+jdfabs On console, or even a PC 'gamepad', it's still a brilliant game, the reason I even criticize the steering wheel issue is because it worked fine in TOCA Race Driver 2.

+Jerry JoeIt kind of holds up.Probably the most major reason that it doesn't entirely hold up is the fact that it's impossible to play with a steering wheel.I would criticize penalties as well, however Assetto Corsa is just as bad for penalties.

GRiD 2 is a disgrace to TOCA and Race Driver series. It's too arcade, twitchy, and it didn't have first person cam. GRiD Autosport is a small step to right direction, i hope Codemasters could see it and release a true touring car racing simulation for current gen system.

Yeah well what can I say. Im 40, im "nearly" done with PC games, More so racing games. Im putting my controller down soon. Its a new dawn a new era. Codemasters on the "sim" wagon with Drt Rally. Good for them. So good that racing games are emerging within the realm of simulators. Im glad of this direction for racing games. More wheels are being sold, CPUs and GPUs are at a stage where its all very possible. What great fun arcade racers in this video were. I playing Dirt3 Complete Edition. atm. Fun.The last racer I ever play. I shall miss "arcadey" racing games. I hope Codies can no go forth! and make a complete F1 sim racer. Good luck out there all you wheel owners.
