They had to travel the same direction as the race cars racing and drove about 3/4 of the way around the track to get there, so maybe think first before making a crass joke about what could have been a very tragic incident. The safety crew was outstanding.

He helped get someone out of a burning modified once while the track marshals were screwing around and not having a clue how to respond to an accident. The fact that he risked his own life to get him out of there is something else. Everyone else who responded to this should be hung out to dry for their horrible response time, and your grandfather is a hero. It's like the rest of them were taking a nap, and this is exactly what scares me at the local short track I'm heading off to right now.
