1996 FZJ80 Land Cruiser LS1 v8 Swap
Just a quick video on the first stage of starting a GM v8 swap on a customers Land Cruiser. Engine specs are 1999 LS1 aluminum block with 30k miles, 243 ...
hi there.. I love these trucks, I been thinking on buying one but I test
drove one with the 6 cylinder and I was disappointed how low power it had
so I changed me mind and was thinking on a sequoia, but now that I see your
swap im back thinking on it again. a couple questions if you dont mind..
what you do for the wire harness? these truck are 4wd.. after swap is it
still 4wd? thank you
Perfect swap man, this is one of the most utilitarian suv's out there and
these engines are some of the most durable and simple v8's out there. Just
drives me nuts when people say the 4.8/5.3/6.0 Are LS engines. The Vortec
engine is from a truck and uses a steel block. LS engines are from cars.
The harness on this rig was from PSI out of NYC, I would recommend using
Speartech instead for your harness needs. The Land Cruiser function like
factory once completed. So yes the 4wd and all other factory options
function.
