An automatic is the best thing you can put a turbo on fam there will be no
lag from shifting just the rush, it may seem crazy but the fastest run auto
or an triptonic, shifting reduces your time because there's that point when
your shifting, off the gas to change a gear, in an auto thats not needed,
its a constant power, have more fun in stick granted but if you tryin to
put power down you;ll run an auto
@xXA7XBFMVALESANAXx What kind of injectors did you put on it and headers?
Do you have links? I have y pipe, enlarged piping, aem cold air, vias block
off plate, intake manifold spacer kit, 2* timing advance and a rz lightened
crank pulley. Im at like 255 to the wheels hp. I think the only thing else
im going to do is throttle body spacer, injectors, high flow pre cats.
No way. Those auto trans can't handle that power very well. That's why he
only got 374. Which is very impressive, don't get me wrong. But with a good
clutch, it could handle way more power, and result in more power. He
would've been looking at 400hp, easily, with a clutch...if not more.
we recently moved from wisconsin to florida so he doesn't have any of his
stuff set up and hasn't been doing anything with it.. I thought he had
someone back in wisconsin still doing the grilles but i guess not? i
believe he's actually trying to sell active tuning right now though.
how so? I was curious cuz i have an 06 3.5 and was interested. I ask
because going up on a hill was be an overkill if you arent able to change
to a higher gear without peeling out. Even with the new semi auto it
wouldnt allow me some times to hit the higher gears if i wanted to
@KingSouza im guessing, and i made a mistake on my math XD haha i think i
got arround 300, i got fujita f5 cold air intake, kinetix manifold,
injectors, magnaflow exhaust and headers... and not sure what that of
cranks or wheels :P... what you got on your se-r?
are you running a standalone, piggyback or what? im in the process of my
Altima build and is the sfr kit worth it or should I just piece it together
myself im very familiar with high performance builds but haven't talked to
anyone that has actually built a vq
thats sick, i would love to put this kind of setup on my 3.5se altima but i
just dont have the time. you probably cant floor it until youre at what
like 40mph or else youll be spinning tires right? highway pull beast thats
for sure.
magnificent10304 kinda explained it in the comments above. but yeah ,i know
what you're saying.you can't switch gears as soon as you would like.i wish
there was moe control over the gears like the GTR
ask ur dad man when the grills are going to be available! i am waiting to
buy top grill for my bumper cant wait! and by the way stay tuned to see my
altima in july its going to be sick!!
The CVTs eat themselves up with high power. But! a regular Nissan auto
RE5F22 for example will handle about 500whp when its got better clutch
packs and an upgraded torque converter.
where did youbought that turbo kit?... do you think it would fit the altima
se-r 2006? i got 310hp without turbo.. how many hp you think ill get with
the 8 psi?
put a turbo on anything and it could be fast ... put a turbo on the jeep
then what ??? he stomps out the altima .. or pull off the turbo then race
... my lil 90 hp civic stomps out my 2005 2.5 altima .. even my buddy's 3.5
"nismo" lol
Awesome, that nissan altima coupe showed who's the boss, don't mess around
with us owners of an nissan altima.I have a 2008 nissan altima coupe v6 and
it's very quick. Even that the jeep took off first, still the nissan altima
came from behind and whip the jeep very badly, them you can hear the
passenger in the jeep saying:l told you he was fast, that was funny!! :-)
:-)
Funny thing is, the turbo Alti 2.5L (with no other mods) makes the same HP
as the 3.5L SER, but a little less torque. I don't quite understand why
people buy the 2.5 to mod it. Why not go 3.5 and start out with the power
in the first place. I've beat several turbo 2.5's in my N/A Alti SER
slightly moded of course. Granted it was only by a bumper length or less
but still.
+sneakerloverkev1 WHO KNOWS? It isnt tuned right now so I dont even want to speculate or boost as high as I can until it's tuned at acgautomotive with UpRev.
I have a 3rd altima, about to do the same thing with my newly swapped motor
wit under 20,000. How much pounds you running ? And you see a big gain? I
need advice
